I'm sorry if this has been answered before, but I'm dying to know: Sergio, why do you use the Tamiya Acrylic Thinner in your airbrush? What do you like about it over other airbrush thinners? Do you have to dilute it or change anything to use it? I had avoided it before because I thought it was mostly isopropyl alcohol which people said to avoid with water based acrylics, but obviously it's not a problem for you :)

Sergio Calvo Miniatures

It is my favorite. The most similar are Ak's and Scale75's. I use it because without changing the properties of the paint it does not alter the composition (it is not a medium) and therefore does not break the surface tension.

That's really interesting! I'll definitely experiment with it, I bought some to use with the Tamiya acrylic transparent paints, I heard they were helpful for painting gems. Thanks for the reply!
