Evie was at risk of getting free. Can't have that.

----

This update took a bit longer than I had planned for. Even now I don't think it is quite finished. I will refine it after working on something else first. Even in its current state, it shows the story progression quite nicely.

I am not sure whether I will keep doing stories in comic format or not. I feel single images are of better quality than these comics. Or maybe a weekly update schedule is too much and I need to take more time for these. I dunno.

As usual, links to the archive can be found here.

Considering the amount of projects you have at a given time doing weekly updates in comic pages is quite a load to take on. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to scale back to either single image pages or to space out what gets uploaded depending on the format.

Personally, I do like the single image format, though your work is effective in both single- and multi-image works; you've got a great talent for the medium, and your action scenes are very clear. In short, I'm pleased with whatever your decision is. I've assumed for a while that new images every two weeks was the standard, and getting them weekly was a pleasant surprise; so if you want to adjust your schedule and keep doing multi-panel comics, that might be a good compromise. The work is still turning out in very high quality regardless. ... Also Evie looks really good in these pics. But that's hardly a surprise. :)

I love the comic format honestly. Good things come to those who wait.

Personally I've found the comic format works better for my own works, as there are often 'events' that might not be worth their own page but are often still necessary for the overall narrative. Case in point being Page 19 of Actual Rescue Party where the redhead is trying to get the gun. Those scenes are not actually necessary to the narrative, but they do wonders in enhancing the narrative. Her 'oh shit oh shit' expression as she arms herself is very strong dialogue-less character building. It ends up being the seasoning to the steak, making the main shots that much more impactful and fun. Regardless I'll be looking forward to what comes next, and wouldn't fault ya in the slightest if ya slow down for a breather. You've been so prolific I've been getting exhausted for you!

Also, the update with Evie’s dilemma is delicious. 🤤

Love it!! These new pages are all fantastic. I think the anatomy is spot on, and I really love her "oh shit" expression on page 13. One thing I want to suggest though, maybe add a little bit of motion blur to the slime shots when they're in flight? Like in the first panel of page 13. I think that would give the second panel a lot more impact, like you could feel this heavy thing slamming into her. Page 5 and 7 could use it as well; without any motion blur or lines or anything, the slime looks like it's flowing somewhat gently.

IMHO, both the comic format and single images have their purpose. I think that the comic format gives you a tool to guide the viewer through how you imagine a story to evolve, because you can depict more detailed steps (such as the foot getting caught or the process of Evie trying to get out of the slime) without having to go for a full image all the time. Of course, full images are better suited for capturing a whole situation and feel. As far as I am concerned, I would like to see you post dozens of full images each and every day :) but more realisticly speaking, maybe you can use full images for depicting the main scenes you have in mind while utilizing comic format for guiding us from one full image to the next.

Omg, love her expression. Can't wait to see how this big game handles her :3

Farmboy73

I like the comic format, but maybe you should not set an artificial deadline for yourself. If it takes longer, it takes longer.

atelier

I do like the comic format, since it tells a story. But if you feel like you're getting burnt out, it would be a good chance to split your time between a comic and some standalone pics. That way you dont have to keep up with so many storylines and can work on smaller projects.

Fireheart The blue Phoenix

I Agree with Atelier and farmboy, split your time so you have the ability to draw stand alone and artistic experiments, and if that makes the comic format take longer, so be it. In my experience, doing something worth any salt requires quite a bit of effort, and effort takes time. So don't feel bad if things take longer than expected, instead feel good that the end result was worth the time taken to make it :)

Mable

I always look forward to your posts on the weekends, but if a weekly schedule is unsustainable then you should readjust! I'd much rather have biweekly releases for the next few years vs weekly schedule that burns out in a couple months. I think both single- and comic-pages work so well in your style, all that matters is your ability to tell the stories you want, I know that's all I want ^.^

Mable

This series is so good already, an update on such a good concept and you get to flex all the ways your style has grown in the meantime, I can't wait to see how it progresses!

Gloodood

I like full images of full body struggling, but having occasional smaller panels are great to show detail on a certain part that you want to highlight or focus on. Or perhaps some of both, showing the comic panel, while also providing full resolution shots as well. Not sure if that would require a ton more work though.

Grave

Another lovely update, can’t wait to see Evie struggling against her sticky bonds as this beast ravages her. The look of horror on her face is simply exquisite As for your drawing schedule, I say take your time. You can’t rush art. Whether it be single images or the comic format, either way we’re gonna get some sweet monster on girl action.

James Gavin

I really love this latest update, Evie is quickly becoming one of my favourite victims and the look of horror you've captured in that last panel is just perfect. From my perspective, you should take as much time as you need/want. I thought this update was beautiful, but you're the artist and you need to be happy with what you're producing.

Anders

It is so difficult to maintain a day job (I assume you do!) and then to work on art in your spare time. I think we'd still be happy if you reduced your output to maintain the quality of the images (regardless of the format they come in) and also let your headspace be in a place where you were less concerned with - possibly - grinding stuff out to meet a schedule. Great images - love 'em, and thank you!

KorboSama

Please take your time if you need to! There's barely any artists that do what you do the way you do it and I'd rather see you lower the frequency than get burnt out

Matt (not that one)

Something I noticed in this latest round of images: You really nailed the translucency in that last panel. That detail itself shows how you've improved with practice over the past year. As far as the pace of releases goes, people used to wait happily for a month or more in the days when you were just posting your art on DA. As others have said, we're a patient audience. Take your time, and take care of yourself!

From Beyond

I love Evie's surprised face in the last page <3

InsidiousAgent

Frankly, I do enjoy the comic format. I'm weird like that; I like my monster-on-girl porn storyboarded =P. But I'd rather wait a little longer than you stopping altogether because of a burn-out. Like others have already said, you do damn fine work and there aren't enough artists out here who do what you do. Take your time and take care.

Summoner

I'm also for taking the time the particular work calls for, rather than rushing it. I like seeing the stories develop also, and would love seeing more images in each story to savour the girl's expression/experience. Mainly take the time to relax and enjoy developing the scene, is my advice :) And drawing what you like, we can all point out details of what we would like to see more of (I tend to like more detail in the bits and in the girl's expressions) but we are all (I expect!) here because we liked what you produced before any of us had any chance to ask for anything in particular ;) Enjoy your work at the right pace, not on a schedule, I say :)

Jules

My favorite part of every story is that 'oh shit' moment like the top right of that last image. There's something about the moment their indignance and determination turns to horror that you capture so damn well.

kahvipapu

I find the single images more evocative. Might have something to do with lingering on the details, whereas with the comics there's an inclination towards moving towards the next panel and glossing over everything. Or maybe I'm reading too fast :P

Mulekick83

I'm a bit late to this but I honestly think that the single images are a lot better purely because there's more detail and focus on the whole picture rather than segmented parts. I think there's a lot more to enjoy from them, it builds up the tension a lot more too. Also, take as much time as you need to make these, you're a skilled artist and I think rushing yourself won't do you any favours

zeroGravitas

Thanks! Yeah the weekly updates were maybe a bit much. I do want some sort of schedule, so from now on updates with probably come every 2 weeks, let's see how that works out. Also, I think single images work better too, so I'll probably focus more on doing these from now on.
