For this week's update, I decided to post unfinished work of the introduction to the biolab.

Don't worry, it's just the introduction to the story, so there are no real spoilers here.

So I wanted to do a fun little introduction to the setting,  part of the base interior, lab spaces, some other coworkers. But that is not turning out too well. I've been experimenting more with perspective, busier scenes etc, which is taking more effort than expected. Lines are good enough I think, but rendering now is a bit of an issue. Things are just taking too long and I'm not sure if it is worth the effort at this point in the story.

The proper story is supposed to start after p05 so I will move on from that point on, rather than spend much more time rendering and fixing things here.

If I'm going to refine/finish any of these it's going to be the locker room scene. I particularly like that one.

Still, I hope you enjoy.

I like this. The idea of having a bunch of critters break free and cause havoc?

James Gavin

This looks very cool indeed - can't wait to see how the situation evolves. The co-ed changing room is a bit of an eye-opener but I appreciate seeing the ladies in a more relaxed environment! <3

what a fun setting! excited to see what you'll do with it!

Rauko the varment

This is a perfect setting for a monster break out of epic proportions, especially the kind where the monster of this story can spread quickly~

Maxx Suchowicki

I’m very excited. What story will be updated after that?

I think stylistically this still works wonderfully as an intro. The attention of your audience is primarily on the middle section of your stories, so I think it's completely fine for your art to focus there too! In any case, thanks for sharing the WIP's. I personally really enjoy these bits of world-building that you include!

Surely those two girls are well equipped to handle that green biomass of tentacles inside that tube.

Hammer

That tentacled thing in one of the labs holds a great deal of promise!❤️

Snake

Since this is a biolab series, I think it would be really cool to cameo a rescued host being held in a containment chamber. Wearing nothing but her bra, panties, and a huge belly full of offspring.

I really like the locker room image. As you said, there is quite a bit going on there it’s it’s all drawn really well!

I think for establishing drawings and concepts like this, its okay to use flat colors. As a fellow artists, i know what its like to be overburdened by the things to render. I'm sure some agree with me that the story panels should be the one that's fully rendered. The worldbuilding is amazing.

Cuess Air

your linework is amazing though. Any tools you use to help you draw backgrounds? I'm hoping you have tips because I also want to find a speedy process for drawings.

The setting looks promising, have you decided on the type of monster for this scenario yet?

John Doe

Eww dudes 🤣

JJ

Interesting, I do like their stockings uniform, so I'm curious to see where this is going

Esky

Awesome world building! Can’t wait to see more and the entity that will mess all of it up heheh😈

"Ladies, you will be guarding creatures that will want to reproduce with you, so we're issuing you skirts because torn pants cost money to repair or replace."

silvarknite

I really like the outfits! and the mixed locker room!

i hope some spider .. i love Gravitasspider

Raul Baron

I suggest quicksand some day !!

PrinnyDood

Ohh, this is a really tantalizing intro, I like! Love the little details, like what appear to be quite a few cameras down (foreshadowing?), and the gesture the blonde is making in the third page makes me wonder if they're gossiping about someone having a 'close encounter' with the wildlife. Really sells the setup, and makes it feel alive.

zeroGravitas

You noticed that eh. Yeah she's saying something like ".... and by the time we got to her, she was like this"

I agree, either vanilla quicksand or with some tentacle monster that lives in it. Maybe it has some periscope appendage to let it spot approaching prey and/or do visual and/or audio mimicry to lure them in. Like if it's nighttime it could give off light to make it look like there's a safe path when there isn't. It doesn't have to pull them all the way under (except in a bad ending), just get them waist-deep or so and then get to work breeding.
