I got a comment Yesterday on Reddit for one of my maps that it was useless as a battlemap, and that left me a gnawing feeling. Not that I would have felt hurt because of the comment, but that left me thinking about what are the qualities of a good battlemap.
As a result, I did this quick technique and workflow test last night.  The map is based on a scenario from our Star Wars campaign. In this scene, the characters arrived to rescue any survivors from the escape pod, but the pod is surrounded by swarms of angry flying worms with nasty stingers as the pod has crashed through two of their nests.
This is not quite the latest final version, but I'm sharing this preview for feedback and comments about this map, but also battlemaps in general.
A proper release with a batch of different color schemes and double resolution is coming here on Patreon later for all Adventurer and higher tier Patrons.
Thanks!

People who say this use maps too literally. Not everything needs to be a neat grid. This map is already fantastic and your work has only improved in the last 4 Years. Says more about the commenter then about your map.
