Miska's Maps 5th Anniversary, December Plans and Character Token Poll (Patreon)

So, December is here and today is the 5th anniversary of Miska's Maps! What a journey this has been! :D

Here's a quick summary:

Five Years of Miska's Maps

Five years ago I started drawing RPG maps and my maps were black and white "old-school" maps designed mostly for print back then. Now my maps are all color maps, much more detailed, and designed with VTT use in mind. I have learned A LOT during the years and I'm eager to learn more. There's already new stuff to learn on the horizon and I'm sure we are going to see new things in 2021. 

I'd like to thank you for your support – no matter if it's full five years or five hours – all your support matters to me :) 

In the beginning, it helped me to invest in better paper and pens, software, and a proper scanner. Now, I'm aiming to become a full-time map artist! Something I could not even dream of back when I started. Thanks to you this looks like a possibility in the near future.  

The Next Five Years? 

Until recently I have gone with the flow and done maps that have interested me at that time. This has kept my Patreon changing in style and content. 

However, for the past few months, I've been thinking about the focus of this Patreon and it seems that my futuristic maps are in high demand. I like doing fantasy maps too, but things have organically grown into this direction, and as I cannot guarantee a number of fantasy maps per month anymore, I have decided to put my full focus on futuristic sci-fi, cyberpunk, steampunk, and space fantasy maps here. In general, I'm trying to keep my style and release content more consistent and I'm sure the next five years will be more stable than the past five years :) 

While my focus will be on futuristic and modern maps, there might be still an occasional fantasy map. 

Upcoming Maps

The recently released assets took much longer to create than I anticipated and because of this, I have some maps pending from last month. I have already started to work on the Mjolnir-class spaceship and as my theme for January is going to be "Wastelands", I decided to push crashlanded airship and overgrown ruins to next month. There will be better synergies with the upcoming assets that way.

• Modular spaceship sections

After getting the pending maps out of the way, I'll start working on the cyberpunk maps.

Character Tokens

I've decided to give a shot at making some character tokens and I'd like to hear your input on what kind of tokens you would like to see. I'm not sure about the timeline or number of tokens per release yet. But likely in January and maybe up to then designs with color variants.
