It feels like February just flew by - we’ve been having a blast working on silly shorts and sharing behind-the-scenes content. But March is here now, which means we are LOCKED. IN. Did you know that there’s a 2-day Blender conference happening in the US in April? BCON Austin is taking place in the heart of Texas on April 13th and 14th - and some of the studio members will be headed down to attend and speak! Leave a comment below if you’re also planning to attend, and if there’s enough interest, we’ll hold an informal DillonGoo Studios meet & greet!

Let’s dive into what’s happening in the studio in March!

This month’s asset pack is the Dumpling Dinner pack! Are your characters hungry and craving a delicious meal? This props pack contains chopsticks, a plate, and a clonable dumpling model that you can put together for a quick 3D snack. [Head over here to read about and download the assets!]

We’re renaming the “Crew Animator Stream” to the Goo Crew Community Stream to better highlight the crewmembers in other parts of the animation pipeline that have been sharing cool things with you all live every month! This month’s featured crewmember is Nathan, a Blender developer and self-described color wizard. He’ll be streaming a talk on the basics of color science that everyone in animation and VFX should know. Note the different day of the week for this talk! Nathan’s stream will take place Tuesday, March 10th at 9PM CST - save it to your calendars now!

The Professor Animation Review - Combo Challenge is still ongoing! You all have just under a month left to read the requirements and submit your animations. Professor Goo will be streaming his reviews on Thursday, March 26th at 9PM CST - you DON’T wanna miss this one!
