A necessary note about Discord access (Patreon)

Today I received this feedback:

“The captions were available on the discord I linked my discord, but the captions were generally not available there, I'm not sure if I was automodded from the discord or something but paying for captions not available felt like a scam.”

Honestly, reading that something I created “felt like a scam” was pretty damn upsetting.

So let me explain how the system works again.

Some of my work cannot be posted directly on Patreon, so I created a separate Discord server for it. Patreon’s official Discord bot automatically assigns roles according to your membership tier once you connect your Patreon and Discord accounts.

There are three separate sections for three different tiers. Your role determines which section you can access. A lower-tier membership does not unlock content made for the higher tiers.

I am not manually removing people, secretly hiding content they paid for, or trying to scam anyone. Frankly, I do not need the extra headache of running a Discord server badly enough to pull that kind of bullshit.

The same content is also duplicated on DeviantArt, so Discord is not the only way to access it.

Most importantly: if something is missing, your role looks wrong, you cannot see the section you expected, or you think you were removed or restricted - please message me directly.

Bots can malfunction. Accounts can fail to connect properly. Tier access can be misunderstood. I cannot investigate or fix a problem if nobody tells me about it.

Please ask me first. I will check what happened and help you sort it out.
