Machine Repair (intro tier) (Patreon)
Content
My main thing is sewing, but sometimes in order to get to the sewing I have to be a repair tech. Things happen... the tension is set wrong or a needle breaks and throws it out of alignment. Or a bobbin winding goes wrong and it ends up with a nest of thread tangled around the flywheel. No matter what the machine eventually needs some attention and in the long run it was easier to learn how to work on it in house than to try to find a consistently good repair place. I actually love this machine (the Sailrite) partly because it's much easier to work on that most modern machines - and because I know that anything that goes wrong, I can replace the parts because they still carry them! It's a nice contrast to the more common Singer machines, which are basically designed to be replaced instead of repaired.
