The portrait came out more beautiful than the photo!

Thanks Scottie. Excellent tutorial as always! Really like how you get the really gentle watercolours. Still learning that!

Amazing how it all comes together Scottie. Nice work. I watched, now I have to do :)

Deborah S.Strickland

Are you drawing the exact same size as the photo so the measurements correspond correctly?

Scottie you’re like listening to a best friend! Stress free 🙂Thank you!

As usual, very well presented, especially the close-up views. I only wish my interpretations were good enough to show you how valuable these tutorials are to me. Me draw pretty someday!

So well painted. Like it very much. Thanks.

I really like how you set out the theory and principles so clearly for us at the start of each tutorial. The way you explain proportions and common misconceptions, as well as your dot method, are so helpful. It’s so hard getting my brain to really see what’s there (rather than what it thinks should be there) and your tutorials are helping so much, thank you

I learned so much from this tutorial. Beautifully taught. You make the process of learning how to sketch and paint much less intimidating. Thank you, Scottie. I look forward to painting and sketching every day. Kudos to you!

and...understanding the side shape of the head is round = life-changing. Yes, mine were drawn as you mentioned, beginners do...to long and skinny. From now on, more round (ish) :)
