UPCOMING TUTORIAL:  Friday 11th July: Sorry no tutorial as I'm moving home! (Homework challenge instead)

As I posted about last week, I'm taking this week off to help the family move to our new home and settle in. I look forward to getting back into the tutorials when my new studio is setup!

In the meantime please take part in the following challenges I've setup for you below. I've seen some amazing work so far in the chat so thanks to everyone who is taking part while I'm out of action! 🙌🏼

CHALLENGE OPTION 1: Red bird, Tea Pot, Shoe or Chair

Sketch one or more of these four simple objects using ink and watercolor. The individual high resolution images are attached below.

Try a few different sketching methods if you like: (You can find an explanation here from a fundamentals tutorial)

One line sketches

Blind sketches

Timed sketches

CHALLENGE OPTION 2: Recommended Older Tutorials

If you'd prefer a guided tutorial, you could choose from two older tutorials below. They are some of my favourites that I recommend everyone try. One focuses on people sketching and the other a building in one point perspective.

Good luck with your move, I hope everything goes very smoothly for you. Thank you for providing us with a little bit of fun. Looking forward to sketching with you when you return!

No worries Scottie - there’s plenty of old tutorials we can try. Your Patreon is so big now I rather wish they would split the people into groups - like thirds - because it’s impossible for me to look through everything now and even get to know people like I could 9 months ago. It has made it more impersonal :( Feel bad that I don’t have time to comment on people as there’s just too many .
