I’ve seen a few inspiration art pieces that have buildings of a similar type to that of reference #4. They are more of the science fiction genre. It would be interesting to get a feel for how to make this type of architecture to not appear flat, if that makes sense.

Kerstin

1 and 5 are those, i like the most. I voted for 1 cause of many different shapes and many details and perspective. But to be honest… all of those will be fun to follow along 😊

Maria Rybaczyk

I like 1 because I just toured the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose California today and need some guidance.

Tammy Lee

It's between 1 & 3 for me. But I really like 5 too!

Ron

#4 drawing terraces in perspective is always difficult to get right. 2,3+5 are fairly straightforward. #1 is interesting, but too busy

Kay Dougherty

I like 5 because of the challenging - for me- perspective. Also because I travel a lot and need to learn to draw different styles of architecture!

David G.

Number 3, which is Asakusa Temple in Tokyo. Please, folks, don't go for Number 2; too many means of defenestration.

Lynnie Broos

Love the temple and the people in 3.

Philip Coombe

They're all interesting. I'm choosing number 1. Perspective challenging

Sean May

Although the perspective is easier than 1, 3, or 5, it'll be super interesting to see how you capture the essence of the many details on that shrine.

Gina

4 because of the different angles/perspective

Mr. M

Number 4 for me...I definitely need on going practice with perspective....I really enjoyed the Paris evening scene with a similar perspective, so I'm inspired for this one as well. Thanks!

m kaye

1 please

Lorna Graham

Easiest for me would be #2 but we have sketched similar so I’ve gone for #3. All are quite challenging. I like the colours and people in 3 and yes I had to look David’s word up too 😁

Elly

i'd love to sketch #1, that building has an interesting shape, could be challenging!

Birgit

Number 1 is very challenging, the perspective and the roof..

Julia

Definitely no 1

HelenG

I would like to have a go at 3. I also like 1 because of the perspective

RICS

You've chosen some good ones this time. I like 1, 4, and 5 they seem to me to be good practice ones - the kind of building we're likely to see in the everyday. 3 is interesting for me mostly because its not the kind of building I see often and that's the challenge. I think 2 deserves a lesson of its own - talking about how to get all the details (windows, arches, step like walls, even the road in the front) in the sketch without making it cluttered or too overly detailed. - looking forward to the class as always

john connell

2 is the one i would stop and get my camera out.

Linda Stein

Like them all, but love the perspective in number one

max eve

3! just visited it
