I like 2 or possibly 3. Will vote for 2 as he has an interesting face. I do find older people easier to sketch, maybe it’s because you don’t notice the facial errors as much ( especially with loose lines) ☺️

Cathy M Dempsey

Any of them would be fine, but I chose #1 because of the multiple different postures in the photo

LISA

I spent the most time really looking at #3; I think it’s the most intriguing & love the muted colors.

Bonnie Kenney

Such a tough choice. I'll be okay with any. 1 looks like the most difficult, I love the muted colors in 3 but I think I'll pick number 2. Can't wait, as usual 😆 have a great week everyone 🫶

Mukul Apte

3....Market scene — a reference I’ve long wanted to explore: everyday postures, rich hat and basket textures, and simple light without complex shadows :) , making it very different from previous tutorials

Dee Renee

I voted #1 because it reminds me of the many card club meetings I see in the clubhouse of the over-55 subdivision where I live.

Melissa

I’m liking #1 as I haven’t often seen a group around a table as a tutorial. They all look like great references though :)

Robbe Speidel

I voted #1 because a group provides a lot of useful new information in one lesson and we have done individuals with props before

Margaret Megarry

I guess if we did go for 3 we would put the bar behind her head and not in front of her

Bekki

I like #3. A lot of good body positions to explore in this one. The way the man is eating, his foot halfway out of his shoe, the woman's sitting position, and what she's doing with her hands, and the extra objects around them. Overall, there's alot of interesting things going on in this picture.

C

# 3 in addition to the position of the characters I find the back wall very interesting

Matthew Sims

#2: I like the color, the perspective, angle and the overall composition.

Shauna

I like #1 because of the various positions.

Cathy

2, great angles

Nigel Seviour

Hi all your drawings are good to learn , but the individual person especially sitting down wou

PeiShin Chen

Love the topic! There are many chances to sketch 3~4 people around a table, especially in a restaurant or in a park, it's really a challenge to capture the main shapes in a short time, I usually struggle with the proportions of each person, especially in real world situations.

Silattahoe

I like them all but feel that #3 would be a good addition to the other tutorials that you already have due to people of a different culture sitting in ways that we don't see that often and thus providing a new sketching challenge.

Catherine S.

I find the scene very interesting

dave

I like #1 because that’s the scene I see in almost all the urban sketching situations I encounter. The voting is for one of the other two, but #1 would help me the most in my day to day sketches.

Umashanker VD

The perspective i thought was difficult to get - the view is from an elevation- and yes a typical urban sketching situation

Eun Cho

I like #1 because of the group of various postures.

Jeremy Hatch

I picked #2 because of all the character in that face.

Carol

People sitting at a table is something I see A LOT and have a hard time sketching.

Gary Winans

1 is my choice / seems a common scene that I encounter and would like to sketch

prabir sarkar

Hi Scottie, Can we have a sketch of 1 done sometime down the track? Thanks
