UPCOMING TUTORIAL: Friday 13th March: Street object - Lamp

This Friday we are going to sketch this interesting lamp that won the vote a couple of weeks ago! It's a lot of fun sketching street objects like this and a great alternative to buildings if you're out and about urban sketching.

UPDATE ON MY VOICE:

If you haven't heard, I've been having issues with my voice. I saw an ENT specialist who had some concerns because there is a lump on the side of my voice box area. It's causing me pain and tightness after recording videos and talking in loud spaces. I've been asked not to talk much for 6-8 weeks. They said it's unlikely to be serious (because I'm not a smoker) but if it doesn't reduce over the next few weeks then I'll have to get a biopsy to make sure. That's why I'm taking every measure to protect my voice for now.

I tested adding a computer generated voice-over for my last tutorial. This is my attempt to make it easier for people to follow without having to read the subtitles and watch my sketching at the same time. There was mostly positive feedback so I think I'll persist with it if it helps make my tutorials clearer. For those who don't like the sound of the voice and can follow the written steps instead, I suggest muting the video.

So sorry about all this! I'm thankful that I can still make tutorials for you all! I appreciate all the support I've received in the comments 🤗

One of my best friends had something that sounds exactly like your voice issue. She has a small surgery and then wasn't allowed to talk for 2 months at all! Hopefully your situation and treatment will be better, but whatever it takes. Don't worry about your subscribers, we will all still be here!

Bruno

I forgot to mention in the other videos, the voice overs work great. I like that it maintains your Australian accent too. I didn't realize it would do that. I thought it would sound more computerized. 😁

Be careful with your voice. talking less is not a problem for me. the texts as an explanation are also fine. even easier if I can do them with translation. listen carefully to the doctor.
