Excellent tutorial thank you for that. My question is, would it be better to skip pass doing underline structure like cubes and cylinders, and just go straight to drawing the shapes to get better?

Thanks. I can draw the figure using cubes and cylinders, but when I deviate from that, my figures start to look crazy.

I've just joined up and really enjoying going through it all. I'm really struggling with the proportions of the body. When I count down three head lengths from the shoulder, where the crotch should be is more like the belly button, obviously I'm not guessing the length properly but haven't a clue how to get behind this.

I really love how you explain the simple figure sketches, Scottie. THank you

Wow, I've been at this for a couple of months already and I'm just not getting it. I just can't seem to make a breakthrough even with all the practice I'm doing. Typically pushing through the frustration a break through is made, and it's just not happening for me. I think I may have to realize that some things are out of my reach and go back to painting flowers lol.
