TUTORIAL FOR THIS WEEK: Urban Sketching - Windmills

Windmills have great silhouettes to sketch so I’m excited to be sketching them this week. I like the first reference as it has a bit more color and a building connected to it.  But the others have more interesting angles and features to the actual windmill so let me know which is your favourite below in the poll!

Who knew windmills could be so complicated? Still, I voted for the one with the most overwhelming information, #4.

I like #1 because of the nice colors but any of them are good. Nice subject to try!

#4 because it looks to be the most complex scene. Simplification is always difficult. So if you can do scene 4. then the others should be super easy. I don't look at it as in which picture is the nicest. I look at it as which picture will help me learn the most.

I like the reflection in the water as well. #4
