WE ARE BACK.

We talked to Bill Hamilton and our tiny minds were blown, so many thanks to him for answering our questions via email.

Ben Ghazi and I use what he told us to look at how the Inslaw case, PROMIS and the intelligence underworld collided head-on with the 90s. We talk about how things ended for the Hamiltons, then pivot to exploring where PROMIS may have gone, or what it may have become, by looking at the rise of the surveillance state, privatization, 9/11, managed violence, Silicon Valley and more.

Even though PROMIS role in the story is mostly finished, THE TRAIN KEEPS ROLLING BABY.

Where is the computer-voice monologue at the start of this episode from? (Octopus episode 10)

It's really scary to think about how this technology has been weaponized over the last 50 years! I have always thaught covid was a sort of "dry run" to see how well the population would follow directions and this PROMISE (on steroids) would be the perfect tool to assess that data.

Is it just me who thinks a lot of the outlandish claims made by the sales people about PROMIS turned out to be exactly what social media companys have been able to do today ?? I wonder is that the whole point of this series although social media today is never mentioned.
