Theuneven ground broken by wide pools of dark swamp water that reflect the tangle of gnarly trees overhead. Massive brown mushrooms sprout from the damp earth and tree trunks alike, some as tall as a grown man, their broad caps dripping with moisture. The scene is strangely quiet, the only sound the soft plop of water and the occasional creak of wood shifting under the weight of its age.
