PATREON Halloween 2007 Movie Reaction First Time Watching

Comments

Tray-T

You should watch the movie Barbarian for this month's reactions.

joshua sumter

I’m always spilt on this movie, I always felt that they humanized Michael and made him out to be a victim. But the kills were good.

La Toya Sheri

I think this was a pretty good way to tell the story of Michael. Some didn't like this version but I like some of Rob zombies movies anyway and his approach to making films. I hate what they did with Halloween ends but I did enjoy the kills a lot in Halloween kills.

La Toya Sheri

Still team Jason for me too tho. He's my fav.

shaneth138

The Rob Zombie Halloweens are so over hated. The best kills of the entire franchise.

Dr. Gonzo

I've been waiting for these. I thought you would enjoy this Michael.

shaneth138

If you like this one the best then you will probably like the second one too. People way over hate it. Again, The kills are awesome.

Tygorgon

Every time I watch this one I get through the first 45 minutes and wonder why I don't like it as much. Then we meet Laurie and her friends and I remember Michael is the only thing I like in this film. They build the kids up in a way that I don't care when they die, they're shitty people that are hard to care about.

Philip Davetas

Jeez. I will put up with this for you. Only you.

kbobravo

Rob Zombie took away what made Michael Myers, Michael Myers. I believe that alone justifies all the hate for this movie. However, I know a lot of people do love this version and I certainly wouldn't take that from anyone. I actually do like the second one though.

TheCynicalProduction

Team Jason here too! I also agree this is easy top 3 Halloween movies. The way you talk about slashers in the intro makes me think you would really like the Terrifier series. I know they're ultra gory, but they're also funny and ooooh boy, talk about scraping the plate!

James

The alternative cut for #2 was actually way better just a heads up. Other than ruining Loomis going into the 2nd but I love this story and this Mikey is unstoppable and the story is dark and wonderful

James

N thank youuuu we have the same taste! I was also 1 of the ones that said halloween kills was good 🤟

kakophony

I might like it more if it were not a Halloween movie. And if someone would clean up the trash dialogue a little bit. Rob Zombie has a unique style that I appreciate and even like sometimes. The main sin in this movie is making Michael a sympathetic character with a stereotypical “serial killer” upbringing. Makes him just a wounded human being warped by circumstance. The Shape just isn’t scary anymore when we can explain his psychology. I don’t hate Rob Zombie’s version, but I think there were some missteps and missed opportunities to expand the lore without undermining the mystery of why Michael is what he is. End of thesis.

Aceldamia

Not liking Candy Corn is acceptable, since they have a very niche fanbase. But not liking circus peanuts? That's not cool.

I am the walrus

The original Halloween is my favorite movie of all time. I'm not a fan of this one but I'll still watch it. The second one I'll never watch again but you may enjoy it. Also, did you recognize Danielle Harris? I'm sure Blank will fill you in on who she played before.

Jennifer Hood

I paid a 5$ membership and I tried watching the full length reaction for the movies but its blocking all sound and blocking out the movie too

Dr. Gonzo

What happen to two films in one?

Beardo2517

Absolutely detest the Rob Zombie Halloween movies. I could not give less of a s* that Michael had a rough upbringing. He's evil pure and simple

Lisa Z

Can't stand Laurie in the Zombie films.
