No one makes it past this episode without realizing they've fallen in love with the show.

So, I love this show. I loved it from the moment it came out and I bought the DVD collection as soon as it was available. When the show got cancelled all of the cast and Joss Whedon (the writer/creator) were devastated because they loved it so much. Alan Tudyk (Wash) took the red button from this episode as a keepsake from the show. Despite the cancellation Joss was determined not to let the show just die and he told the cast he was going to do something. He was going to either get the show back on the air or get a movie made but he would not just let it be discarded. Now in the industry that *does, not* happen. Once the production company is done, it's done, but Joss set his mind. Alan Tudyk said that when Joss contacted them and told them his plans they were all skeptical but they loved the show too and were willing to believe. Alan said he then mailed Joss the red button with a note that said, "If we get to make the movie you can have this back." And what do you know.... :D
