I'm about to watch the hell out of this when I get home. Can't wait!

Violet

NO WAY!!! I was literally just watching your reaction to part one, AGAIN!!! I can't wait to see what you think of part 2!! I JUST lost my job, because the chemo I went through recently completely ruined my physical strength and speed and applying for work is SO DEPRESSING. This is the exact thing I needed today!!

Chris

Friendly suggestion--if you do the books, buy them one at a time as you go, not as a full set. Because they get weird. Like, holy sh*t WEIRD. Not commenting on their quality one way or the other, but make sure the place they head is one you're into.

Lisan al-Gaib!!!!

I’ve thought long and hard about this over the past year and a half…and here’s a bold statement. This is the best movie I’ve ever seen.

So happy you got to this one fairly soon after part 1. You were wondering about the black/white look of the Harkonnen planet...it's because they have a black sun. When they go inside away from the sun all the colors come back. :) Since you love sci-fi/fantasy stuff, I really do hope you will watch Battlestar Galactica (2004-2009) series as it is right up your alley IMO. :)

Dune 1+2 is the 1st book, "Dune". The 3rd movie will be based on the 2nd book "Dune: Messiah". It will also be Director Villeneuve's last Dune movie. If someone picks up the other 4 books and turns them into films, they'll have to contend with the quality of these films. So glad you reacted to these.

The HBO show is straight arse, not gonna lie

Connor P

yo J, where does Lord of the Rings fall into your tier list of worlds?

Andrew Skow

If you'd like more Rebecca Ferguson, consider checking out Silo on Apple TV. Short series and she's the star.

The original Dune isn't as good but it is pure 80s. I actually prefer some aspects of the Toto score. Still shocks me that Toto did the score. The thing I love the most about 80s Dune is that it inspired me to read the books. Just know that there is Frank Hebert Dune and then all of the stuff his son wrote. The son is not nearly as good as his dad was. The new Dune movies barely touch on the world building. so reading the books is worth it. They are never going to make Books 4-6 because it jumps so far into the future. I wish they would make them i want to see the God Emperor on the big screen.
