Is this the first one?

I would like to thank you for the comment about depression, and suicide. I have suffered from depression for most of my life, and those are the exact words a person with mental illness needs to hear.

Echo Moon

I think it's a great idea to watch films you have seen before Brother J. Especially ones you haven't seen in a while because you can always see/hear new things. A little back story on Jack. He was once a privateer for the East India Trading Company, and was tasked with transporting a ship full of “cargo”. Upon discovering that the cargo was actually 100 slaves, he took the ship, the Wicked Wench, and set the slaves free. Beckett’s (the EITC guy from the second and third films) career suffered as a result, and he had Jack branded a pirate for “stealing” the ship full of slaves. What’s more, he had the Wicked Wench burned, sinking Jack’s beloved ship. Grieving the loss of the Wicked Wench, Jack then made a deal with Davy Jones. Jones agreed to raise the ship in exchange for 100 souls – a price chosen out of irony, given the reason the ship was sunk. The ship’s hull was permanently blackened from being burned, so Jack renamed it the Black Pearl, and set off once more with little option but piracy, thanks to Beckett’s branding him a pirate. This shows that Jack is really a good person but because of the brand on his arm and the times he lived in he had to become that which he never was supposed to be.

Rewatches are good too i watch movies over and over

This is such a good movie. If you like movies with ships like these and with great sound and music, you should check out Master and Commander.

This movie means so much more if you've been on the Pirates rides a bunch of times. I was geeking out big time when I watched it the first time

Captain Murder Whistle. These rewatches are just as entertaining; I think doing a monthly rewatch poll would be a fun addition!

Philip Davetas

Motherfucker! I love every single one of these PIRATES flicks!
