I have a lot planned for this year, and so I could really use your feedback here. If you could also explain your awnser after voting that would be great! Thank you guys! This poll is regarding PrimeLeap, the website I use to host my animations in a gallery form rather than Patreons tower form. But it also requires an account needing to be created, and there have been issues with account creation and linking.

I like it, or the idea of it, I just wish it was more user friendly. It's constantly having problems linking to my patreon, or at least for me.

Noxy

Voted, but also commenting. Primeleap is extraordinarily user-hostile. * It won't stay logged in no matter how long I tell it to stay logged in * the login screen doesn't work well with Safari user/password auto fill * I can't ctrl/cmd+click to open images in new tabs * its slow as heck * ui is awkward and unintuitive

Ryan Hatfield

Primeleap is a hit or miss as to whether it wants to link to my Patreon or not. When it works, it works. But getting it to can be a toss up some times.

Joseph

My only issue with Primeleap is everytime I try to access it I always need to re sync my patreon account, more of just a minor annoyance.

Rhys Jones

I do agree it has its ups and downs, I had trouble with it with linking when first using it and I had to keep logging it but after a while it did start to work. It would be really handy to have Direct Links to the content mind but if you continue to keeps using it, that's fine by me as long as I can view your content!

The Last Great Jaggi

Voted and commenting. Although it seems like Primeleap has given people a lot of issues when it comes to its account system, I personally have had no problems with its accounts and find that the clean gallery and organisation it provides are quite lovely. HOWEVER, it does need some work. Its UI can feel clunky and it is slow when it comes to loading interactive scenes.

ArtMutt

Prime leap is neat, but with how many times it asks me to log in and it is pretty chunky, taking a long time to flip between posts...I'd be just as happy if not happier with just have access to the files here on Patreon.

Blind Fangs

Personally haven't had any issues with primeleap. Love a clear gallery layout as well making it pretty easy to find my favourites.

Vethrfolnir

It definitely needs work and is far from perfect but I don’t have a problem with the idea.... especially if it provides some kind of protection to the creators... other then it’s kinda clunky at times I’ve personally never really had any issues with it

Epsil Delta

The site is worth using, however, the site itself does need some work. Also, it's bothersome to use it on mobile, personally. I don't mind either way. If the site fixed the issues I currently have with it, then I'd say for sure use it.

VexMex

I voted for primeLeap for its nice Gallery. On Patreon here i ahve the Problem that the site takes AGES to load on phone and sometimes also on PC, and that is super annoying from time to time PrimeLeap atleast works in that regard better and i can watch stuff with phone. What i dont like about PrimeLeap is that i need an account there too, a website i dont really trust alot and if that is getting bigger i bet there will be something happening like leaked passwords or such. Yes, Its Good for the Creator in terms of Protection of works, i completly understand that. But for users its mainly a pain to use, yes if you are in the Gallery you are good, for the once session you are logged in, but if you try to load something else it either glitches out, isnt loading properly, or crashes Chrome from time to time.

KaeganDragon

Prime leap seems nice enough, but I regularly have issues with having to sign back into it and things and it's not the best on mobile. I especially have issues with the interactive video on mobile with prime leap.

Hunter Kitnooki

To be honest I actually don't mind either way. I'm fine with it being on PrimeLeap, and I'm also fine with having a direct link to the content. Just keep up the great work regardless!

KiloWolf

My main issue with primeleap is that you can't access it on the puffin mobile browser. And it will not stay logged in.

christian

There are only two problems I have, I assume it's my PC but It won't load the interactive posts all the way without difficulty and I'm not sure if I see all of your post on there.

Knox

The motive was good. Since patreon has this infinite-scrolling site design which makes people take ages to find what they want and there is no post search fuction. Although about for using Primeleap was good choice or not is, at least for me, negative. The site seems to require re-login each time I access it even if I told it to keep me logged in for a month or so. This means that Primeleap is not using cookie in a efficient way and keep on losing the login token(which if acquired by someone else, could be used to impersonate user's computer against Primeleap), or just made that selection box as an aesthetic and not actually functional.

fetus deletus

PrimeLeap works for me well enough and it's good that it keeps your content organized and does provide direct links to videos at least in case loading doesn't work. My only issue with it is obviously the loading, especially on mobile browsers. I'd like to be able to use both the videos and interactable versions, so if you can find a more reliable way to keep that rolling then that would be awesome!

Araphre

I've heard PrimeLeap is a "scam." All I know is it has some problems with logging in and it's another hoop to jump through, but I've never personally had any problems with it. As someone who hopes to be even moderately successful one day on Patreon, I also know it keeps your work from being scraped to places like y---.p----. Critter knows what I'm talking about. But what are the alternatives to PrimeLeap?

Chumpmonkee

I've had no issues with prime leap. I love how organized it makes everything, and it works well with mobile devices.

Eden Frees

I always have issues logging in let alone staying logged in. Then it barely loads and has trouble linking. Always loads or refreshes trying to log in and link

Mel

I voted for the gallery format. I had troubles initially getting the accounts connected, but scrolling through patreon to find a specific video is a lot more tedious than the troubles with primeleap

GFHCDK76

I have no strong feelings about it. But PrimeLeep does make it easier to find the media all in one place, rather than scrolling down through Patreon's Pages of posted content. So for that alone, I feel it's probably worth keeping.

Apolleo

I'm ok either way, but if I had to choose I'd go with primeleap as it's much easier to access everything rather than endlessly scrolling in Patreon

Jak Sharperten

I mean me personally I have had occasional difficulties with linking my Patroen so I can get access to content, but really I don't really have any strong feelings either way with using PrimeLeep. Though I do agree with GFHCDK76 in it being nice to have everything organized in one spot.

Spectyr

I often have problems linking and login in, but the interface is easy to navigate. Ups and downs.

ButteredTorment

The biggest problems I have are getting logged in. Once I'm logged in though it's great to have a gallery of all the previous works without having to scroll through Patreons weird endless scrolling thing.

Gabriel1393

I always appreciated Primeleap, but the only problem i encounter with it is when i try logging in with my phone, otherwise it's very good, maybe android isnt compatible, lol

QuantumAge

I don't have a problem with Primeleap in general, but I also don't see a real benefit for users (not creators). Biggest issue I have with it is that you can't download folders or something like that, you need to download all one by one. But if Primeleap works for artist then its ok I think.

Paul West

Having all the content organised and easily accessible in 1 location/gallery is what I always want. Primeleap when it isn't down or being temperamental is great. I've seen some use Patreon's tower which I dislike as you need to always search and dig through multiple posts. Dropbox and MEGA with/without passwords I've seen work alright but it makes content easy for people to copy and repost.

Steve

Patreon can be tedious to find stuff. Prime leap is easier after these initial set up

A-A-ron

I've had no issues logging on to primeleap, however I usually have to view the animations in video format since for whatever reason the scene selection doesn't work for me. Honestly though whatever works best for you, and everyone else seems to have the same sort of thoughts.

A2zero

I tried to log in/sync with my patreon account and it'll work at some point and other time it won't and when I do log in, the animations would take up around a hour or 2 to start.

Kiruzune

What is your prime goal using this service in the first place? If it is, to secure your content from beeing pirated, this won't really help. It just more inconvinient to do, which usually doesn't stop the people doing it. If it's for a clean display, nice ordering etc. I would suggest to make your own. Today, creating one isn't hard at all, tons of tutorials. Also if hosted by yourself, you don't need to follow rules other than what the country you're in puts on you. Cons of course are, maintenance, security and updating... If you don't want this, then yeah suggest you either keep PrimeLeap or any other for this matter. I never had problems till now

Rex Wolf

PrimeLeap is not worth it as a gallery. PrimeLeap's primary function is as a form of DRM. I am reflexively against DRM, because it is never going to lock down content in the way people want (or believe). DRM functions (at best!) as a time-delay to full release, no more and no less--and then it just gets in the way after that. If you feel the need to keep your work on lockdown, then you should keep PrimeLeap (and stop posting things to Discord) and use PrimeLeap's tracking functions to pursue legal action. But that will lose you fans and change your reputation to some unknown degree. If you need a safe place to archive finished work and make it accessible, that can be arranged. (It's what I do for a living.) If you need a way to gallery-ize it, there are many templates to choose from--you could pick something you like best for presenting your work--and then it's just a matter of finding somebody who understands how to put the template together with the content and then maintain the resulting website. And there's certainly people out there who know how to do that, me included. Perhaps the best suggestion, IMO, would be to sit down with knowledgeable folks and work out what would be best for you. There's a cost-benefit analysis to be done--Patreon probably isn't the answer, direct links alone probably isn't the answer, PrimeLeap may not be the best answer either. But it will all depend on where all the competing priorities come to a balance you personally are comfortable with.

Dragon

I prefer direct links cuz patreon has up dated it's stuff so you can tag it and I can find all of your stuff related to that tag I'm also down for the site but till they get that log in crap down it can take me a good bit of time to see your stuff cuz I have to log in multiple times due to being on Mobile

TimberPony

PrimeLeap fights me every time. most times i just need to give up and try the next day. Still don't know why it works after 24 hours. but you are the only reason I'm on PrimeLeap at all.

Zefer

I very much prefer PrimeLeap. Much cleaner and easier to navigate/use in my opinion

Andrew Smith

Personally I'd prefer you start trying to phaze out Patreon completely. They're becoming more and more of a bad site for content creators like yourself.

Latency

I think PrimeLeap is a "decent" but not overly good way to view historical archives for new members. A lot of other patrons I back just host their archives on mega or dropbox or don't even have historical archives. For people following your content on patron regularly, it simply represents another hoop to jump through to access your work. I get a notification in my email, have to click over to here, then click over to primeleap, then log in again... it's not great.

WispTheHusky

I like the concept, as the layout is nice, but as others have said, it's another hoop to jump through. I don't like giving more sites my personal information. Especially sites that have information about the NSFW content I subscribe to. It's more chance of data being leaked, and I much prefer not to give more people my data. My thoughts are "why not both"? Host the content on Patreon, but also post to PrimeLeap? It'll require a little more work, sure. But it should be a good middle ground that doesn't cause issues for multiple users. At the end of the day, I love your content, and I plan on staying a Patreon no matter what you decide, but PrimeLeap is more of a hindrance, IMHO. Thanks for putting it to us to vote on, though. It's nice to have the option to vote on it, and be able to give our opinions.

Kiaran_darastrix

When I was creating the account on prime leap it was a bit frustrating to get it linked up but afterwords I havent had issues. I mostly will just take what gives the highest quality downloads

Minus_Underscore

I don't like PrimeLeap and it was very janky signing up. However I've had no issues at all since then, so I've assumed that whatever problem they had is now resolved. My vote was to keep things as they are, because I know nothing new will break so long as it's all left as it is.

GOONRO

It's fine viewing it on PrimeLeap, but I'd rather just have a direct link, maybe cos it sounds easier to view,

Kuba

i had some issues with my account on primeleap

Zerry7071

yeah i also prefer just an direct link, cause i dont really use primeleap that much. for the less accounts i have to make the better, cause it isn't that easy to keep track on each and every accounts, and after a while it starts to give you an headache. well that is for me that has an really bad memory.

GFHCDK76

I have no strong feelings about it. But PrimeLeep does make it easier to find the media all in one place, rather than scrolling down through Patreon's Pages of posted content. So for that alone, I feel it's probably worth keeping.

Anthony

Just post your stuff on Myspace. They don't monitor anything that's posted, theres no point its not like the population on 15 people a month have much of a chance in finding it. PS like this if you ever had a Myspace.
