Last month I was preparing for my first TTRPG convention as a miniature seller and I ran into a problem: I had no good way to display all my minis in a small space. So I designed MiniRack, a simple modular display system made from stackable square boxes that lock together with small connector buttons. You can build whatever layout you want, expand it as you grow your collection, and rearrange it whenever needed.
It’s super simple, very sturdy, and surprisingly satisfying to assemble.

MiniRack was designed to work both for convention displays and home setups.
You can stack cubes vertically, build wide grids, add larger boxes for bigger models, and even mount the system on a wall when you’re done selling. I used some clear museum gel to secure the minis.
I also included a few useful extras:
Price tag buttons for conventions
Logo tiles for branding, QR codes, or marketing messages
Feet cubes for stability when stacking tall structures
Wall mount tiles so you can turn your display into a wall showcase
Whether you're selling minis, organizing your collection, or just want a clean modular display for your prints, MiniRack makes it easy.
Key Features:- Easy to print- Support-free design- Optimized for multicolor FDM- Matte PLA recommended to hide layer lines
Print Notes: MiniRack was designed with Bambu Labs 3D-printing tolerances in mind, but depending on your printer you may want to slightly adjust X-Y compensation for the connector buttons to get the perfect fit.
New Expansion Modules
MiniRack started as a modular display system for miniatures, but I kept getting requests for other collectible sizes. So I expanded the system. It now includes display racks for:
Each module is sized specifically for that collectible type, so you don’t need to awkwardly scale the original boxes up or down.I also added a new slanted convention version, angled back by 25 degrees, for markets and merchants.
Lastly, I added edge buttons, hook buttons and an attachable business card holder as highly requested as well!
The files include:
A 3MF-File for every kind of rack
A separate 3MF file for the Hooks, Edge buttons & Business card holder
A ZIP-File containing all the STL-versions of these 3MF files
I’m really proud of this one. It turned out to be a super simple system that you can expand almost endlessly. If you end up building a cool display with it, I’d love to see it!
Much love 🫰Sander
