To be fair, hamsters only live for 2-4 years. Though I think it was a guinea pig that she had, which is buried in the Governor's backyard--in which case the life expectancy is 4-5 years.

Hamtaro was what one of the things that encouraged me to own a hamster when I was a child. Hopefully Emmie can handle the heartache that comes with a pet with a short lifespan this time.
