https://nerds1.itch.io/cause-for-concernApologies for the wait ya'll. We are proud to present the next update for Cause for Concern. The adventure continues with our heroes trying to find out how to get to the Dwarven mines where the mysterious Mechanical Man has been sending captured villagers. Along the way they meet new friends and battle evil foes as they quest to figure out why their hometown was attacked.

In this update you’ll be exposed to:A dwarf who only drinks waterRootin’Tootin’Cowboy Shootin’Fun™Hats

Along with plenty of new and wacky tummy related shenanigans that just keep happening to our poor adventuring party!

Expect some bugs! we got the really egregious ones, but be aware there might be some hiccups. Will be posting this publicly on social media once we're sure the patch is clean! if you have questions they will most likely be seen either in the weightgaming forums or Nerds' itch page!

" Apologies for the wait ya'll" Y'all are fine, stuff happens. Id rather a delay than you all on the team getting burned out or worse.

We love you, Clinko; thank you so much to you and the entire development team for bringing us this new update

Yo Clinko, this is awesome but I have a small issue, dont know where to post so Ill put it here. Ive run into an error where once you make it to the part where Petar gets his own kitchen, if you try and go to the beer meal too fast it breaks the game and you are permanently softlocked. Perhaps in a patch or something add some sort of reset button, where you go back to town or something? I dont know how are this would be but any fix is greatly appreciated.

Yes I Love This Update, Especially The Side Quest For Gigi, Where Someone Had To Get Swallowed Whole To Go Up The Water Fall But The Best Part Was She Got Swallowed Before She Could Finish Her Sentence, & Then Proceed To Struggle! I Do Have Some Questions! Are There Only Two New Side Quest Added? & Is There A Way To Experience Previous Experience? Lastly You Should Make An Ai Bot, Of The Game So Fans Can Interact With The Characters/Game While Waiting For The Next Update!

I'm Sorry If That A Bit, Much!

Hey Clinko, Nerds, and that other Guy. Great game, but I wanted to give some feedback about its overall mechanics. The main and side quests are pretty well built, but adventuring in general has a few issues to it. It's currently very hard to accumulate money. Mostly this is due to the fact that filling the girls up to larger sizes isn't very rewarding, which we are still doing because of the game's nature. I'd argue that the capacity increase barely does anything, as while you may eventually make a stupidly large dish to compensate, it is a given that eventually that dish won't seem so large, and even if it still was it would be too expensive to make. My recommended solution is to make it so that for every 5 or 6 points of fullness across all the girls (including ones not used), one new zone will be explored during the adventuring day, allowing you to get more resources than you spend. Make the number of explored zones start at 2-3 to account for low group sizes and low resources, and lock the main end point behind meeting a certain explored zones threshold, and now you've made a system that's pretty robust! Combat is pretty lacking in skill and variety. Usually the way to handle enemies is to wack em when they get close, and little else. The bomb thrower was unique in how you had to navigate around his bombs, but few others required much thought, especially since most things die within a few hits. Perhaps some tankier but slower enemies could provide cover to others, or some enemies could have harder to doge attacks that need to be charged up before use, or there could be some zones with mini-bosses instead of regular enemies. Most skills in the game are not that useful, partly because they deal similar amounts of damage as your basic attacks, and partly because the enemies aren't tough enough to warrant them anyway. Not only that, but it also isn't as exciting to get one since you likely already have skills and/or attacks that can do similar things. It would be really cool, however, if you could use skills like character abilities. For example, Luci could use pounce to cross a gap, Erin could use fire breath to light a fuse or torch, and Sami could make an enemy open a gate by using her siren song. That's all the suggestions I have, great game again. I did find a few skill related bugs though: Luci's pounce hurts her when she attacks an enemy. Sami's siren song did not appear when I got it. Erin's six shooter doesn't appear to be different from her main attack. Oh also you do not need to make an AI bot, trust me we do not need one.

sami's siren song i believe isn't working in this patch unfortunately. we'll probably take a close look at skills in the next patch. thanks for the feedback! im not sure if we'll be able to address all these issues but we'll definitely try.

clinko clinko

Erin's six shooter IS her main attack so no worries there

clinko clinko

we'll try to get it working better with future bug fixes! its definitely one of the more ambitious segments

Thanks for reading. It certainly is a tall order but it's always important to make sure your base mechanics are well designed. I can still think of plenty more suggestions but I'll hold them off for when you all are ready.

Thank you for sharing the updates on here, Clinko! Your artwork for this update was stellar as always, as was the writing and coding work by Nerds. While they don't stand out as much as the big "cutscene" pictures, can I just say the faces are amazing? They really help make the story pop. (I think my personal favorite is Mina's intense thinking/overheating one.)
