Content

I’ve tried several times to get into different series, but I just don’t have the time or energy. One of the more annoying trends I’ve noticed in this space is that people seem more obsessed with creating content rather than creating lasting art. Does anyone have any recommendations that buck this trend?

Also, on a brighter note, Book 1 is being re-published by Moonquill and Podium on August 26th! This time, I’ve been given a VA who doesn’t sound so cheerful and chipper!

Golden Helios

I read several LitRPG novels on RR, but it's more like eating fast food. It taste good but it's a little trashy at the same time. There are few exceptions like "Reborn to Devour". I had a pleasant time with it. It's full of brutal action and philosophical musings. My only complaint is that it's rushed towards the end. In a very different style there is "Saintess Summons Skeletons". It's still brutal but more humoristic and and with a bigger touch of adventure. It's still ongoing, but it's stubbed sadly. But if you are willing to push past that, there is chance for you to enjoy this novel.

I'll give reborn to devour a go. I'll check out the saintess thingy too :)

LitRPG time loop - Undying Immortal System (cultivation too), Stubborn Skill Grinder stuck in a time loop LitRPG Grimdark fantasy world - Systemic Lands (love all this author's works too - Calculating Cultivation is incredible) 1% Lifesteal Time Loop Narrative Fantasy - Mother of Learning, Years of Apocalypse My absolute favorite ongoing story - Shadow Slave (not on RR)

I tried systemic lands. I was a bit unconvinced at his portrayal of evil. Think the scene where he just lures some innocents off because it's a good exp farm spot.

Golden Helios

I'm not familiar with it, but yes it's on Webnovel.

Source & Soul - card based system, characters and overall story are extremely well written in my opinion. The way the card system is designed does a really good job of keeping tension in fights as well. Book of the Dead - Child of two famous adventurers ends up with the forbidden necromancer class when he reaches age. The consequences of his decision to keep it drives the story well.

I really don't recommend you read that crap, only the beginning looks really good to me 🤷🏻

I'll have to give S&S a try. Rhinoz book was pretty decent tbh! Just going to wait a few years so I've got a bit to bit more to bite into!

Mother of learning always keeps popping up. It is finished, right?

Yarrr, MoL is finished. The guy wrote 1 chapter a month starting in about 2009.... so it took until about 2020, lol.

That is one of the very reasons I decided to write The Once & Future Queen because Gilgamesh is all doom and gloom
