I need to keep things afloat, so I’ve decided to aim for a more mainstream audience—though hopefully with a few twists of my own. This time, the protagonist will be a traditionally good and heroic character, since morally darker characters tend to generate a great deal of friction.

The story is set in an alternate version of Japan’s Sengoku period, with dinosaurs woven naturally into the world. Think James Clavell’s Shōgun, but grittier and presented as a LitRPG.

The setting will also feature samurai, ninjas, yōma, onmyō magic, curses, traditional folklore, and all the strange and supernatural elements that come with them. Along the way, we will meet several historical figures and watch the protagonist shape the Warring States period in his own unexpected way.

I’m currently looking for beta readers, so please leave a comment if you would like to help. I’ll send you access!

Placeholder title is in the style of Abercrombie is: When Honor Dies, the Blade Remains

So any input for alternative titles is also welcome!

The latest chapter was good. Just right pacing and tension throughout. My only troubled part that was a bit lacking was the part after joining the yoga hunting team. Dragged a bit before getting to the fighting action. Also, I'm ready to be an ALPHA reader, not beta :P

Thanks for the feedback! I might do some cuts to get to the action sooner. The only problem was that before then, he had just killed a person for the first time so it needed some time to settle!
