Zoros attacks are usually puns of sushi and other things but the names have more meaning when you see the kanji used - Oni-Giri is a squeezed riceball but zoro uses it as Ogre-Cutter. Gazami-dori is a play on words for kazamidori meaning fence-sitter or opportunist. Zoro uses it as Crab grab.

The idea of Zoro's empowerment is now he can control what he wants to cut, thats why the tree leaf wasn't cut but the stone was. Zoro decided to cut the stone but not the leaf, so the sword obeyed the command of not cutting the leaf.

I love how the show goes against the grain of any typical media, "Koza will be king Vivi the queen and the dad will die." Every Arc the show always goes against the typical story telling that u can predict.

That last episode had like no action but the story was just so good. The intense plots are my favourite part of this show, it’s so intricate, it makes me laugh when you can have an episode like that and people say there’s no politics in One Piece 😅

Wow, rewatching with you guys... So much foreshadowing, like even from the start. Oda-sensei is seriously the coolest. He's got to be the best writer I've ever known, honestly, and I'm so glad One Piece is still ongoing. Like wow, I can't even explain how amazed I am with all the little details from each arc all coming back at some point in the future and even clarifying some things in flashback pasts too... So cool.

I get so mad too every time I watch how Baroque Works plays dirty. Gotta give credit to Usopp and Nami who survived even though they are just normal (weak) humans and their opponents were devil fruit users. Chopper, Sanji and Zoro, growing stronger, love them too! XD

Became a member just for this fight lmao this zoro fight definitely one of my favorites. The no dialogue silence moments during fights is not really a thing in the newer episodes of OP this is def one of the things I miss of pre time skip. The fights even though they weren’t as flashy as post ts the intensity does not change. 10/10 fight
