Everyone is born with magic, and grimoires like you saw pick their own owner. The grimoire then enhances what's already there and evolves over time through your own. Like how Yuno was already very strong, and then the 4 leaf grimoire chose him and made him even stronger. So for Asta that means he has no magic, and this grimoire also chose him. But instead of giving him magical ability, it gives him this weapon that can "fight magic". So Asta still has no magic as the grimoires don't just "give" someone magic. If it helps just think of the grimoire as an evolving magical item, for Asta it stores his sword (and gave it to him in the first place)

There was something you both missed when Asta attacked that chain guy. The chain guy said something very specific about Asta's attack and what it did. However, that point will be re-iterated in the next few episodes to make clear.

Well Asta and yuno aren't brothers in the blood aspect but rivals that they definitely are.....also you guys are in for a ride this show is basically peak shonen battle anime 🤟🤟🤟.....Also Asta doesn't have magic as all the grimoire is a vessel that enhances someone's magical abilities in astas case the grimoire spouts magical weapons for Asta to carry his grimoire is awfully mysterious and it's mysteries will be revealed as the show progresses so keep watching and pay attention to little bits of dialogue when people react to astas grimoire and sword

not a fair comparison, when you watch recaps its just the same content, Reactors add extra content and they speak on the show which makes it more interesting

also pretty sure recaps is for people that Watch on weekly bases or even longer than that so they forget what the previous episode was about those recaps are not meant to remind you of minor details that they tend to miss from time to time

Yes please always watch out for the after credits! Most of it is Petit Clover but there’s a few that will be important (like Demon Slayer’s Nin Nin) they’re quite cute/fun anyway. Excited for you to meet the magic knight squads and captains which I’m sure will pique your interest and curiosity.

totally ok to hate that lol and we prob could benefit from it sometimes. But 9/10 times we will skip recaps still lol 😅 Alot of it just comes down to time. And you may be thinking, "its only a minute or 2". But that times 3 or 4 times 7 days a week...it all adds up, and if its not adding a ton of value for us or the viewer, the ROI just doesnt make sense. (again, let me be clear, i know we would get some value from it...but still not worth it typically lol)
