You can develop your fruit abilities, there have been quite a few powerful fruit that the users have just settled with what they got and vice versa a lot of trash sounding fruit that have been creatively used. Ron you are absolutely right! Even the most "ridiculous powers" can be really strong! It just depends on how creative the user is with them. Also, Oda intentionally made the art style to be goofier looking and implemented humor so that it would be easier for us as readers/viewers to conceptualize and talk about some of the more difficult topics so I'm glad you caught on to that Ron :)

omg the pacing and art style in this anime, now I remember it's getting worse here 🫠 although I understand why about pacing, I wish they did justice to Oda's art in manga　, especially Luffy's fight scene, it's so incredible in manga panels. Low-budget outsourcing was a thing for popular manga because they could make a profit anyway without quality...especially one piece, the most selling manga. no wonder Oda started a project to re-do the anime...he didn't want to get involved in the anime until a recent few movies but I guess he can't help to do the TV series too 😅

So you already forgot that Pell (the bird guy) was with Luffy after Nico Robin (Miss All-Sunday) rescued Luffy from the quicksand? Yes, Pell attacked someone on a roof, but not Crocodile, it was Nico Robin. And then later, when you saw Luffy sinking into the quicksand and then being saved by her, Pell came along and wanted to attack her again, but then she told him that he better should take care of the injured Luffy

Remember these eps dropped like 2002. I really love how they paced it even if it might be an unpopular opinion it just feels like dune or sth. They take theire time to build up scenery sometimes, to underline characters emotions and some of these "panels" might be my fav of anime even to nowdays. The characters are so awesomely drawn and lighted sometimes since alabasta goes with these warmish neon-tones. Every arc goes with different backround lores/themes. You'll have ancient tombs and mysteries all around. And they're all connected. Btw you made my day with the triple drop♥️fr. A good point to go for them too.

As serious as the themes of One Piece can get, Oda also really loves old school cartoons, so you get a strange juxtaposition of realism and silliness. One example being that meat is basically a health potion for Luffy, and milk restores missing teeth.

@Yoona Kim Nah, it’s cool. I’m 30 so definitely a 2000s kid and probably biased lol. But irreverent comedies were constant in that decade, and there were a ton of actors who specialized in them. Not so much anymore.

one piece has just as many plot holes and extremely bad pacing. Naruto has way better fights and character development unlike One piece. One piece has better world building. Both have strengths and weaknesses. But I think Naruto is way more enjoyable, of course if you do not watch the fillers.

HAHAHAHA I get that this is a brilliant show,but honestly I just can’t connect to it,to much comedy based for me.I love comedy but if it’s comedy,or really dark comedy that the show is so dark that it needs comedy. (like chainsaw man)for me this feels just like comedy which is not what I look for in a shonen.in other genres I love comedy,but this just doesn’t sell it for me unfortunately 😓

What you mean is more extreme in the anime. It's often cartoony and breaks serious moments the earlier you are in the story the more often it happens. The Anime intensified this to fit into lore(waaaaay to spoilery and hard to explain just go with it). The Manga cuts like 80% of the Cartoony screamy moments out. If you're disturbed by dark moments that plot into humor you'd be better with the Manga for sure. If you download the MangaPlus App you can read whole One Piece and you'd catch up in like 2 weeks with the present storyline. And the present storyline has funny situations still yes, but is utterly dark and terrifying mostly. The fun and party is over mostly. And if you don't like to read manga, just wait for Netflix's Remake ''the one piece''. They might change some stuff too so they can develop the dark undertone of the later arcs. Sorry for writing like a maniac! Don't feel forced or sth :D just wanted to let you know that you're welcome and we would all love you to experience the revelations of the big mysteries with us. The thing about the Borque Works tattoo you have to understand is that to 99% of the world doesn't know it exists because it's supposed to be a secret organization. So while they may notice the tattoo they wouldn't have any of the context to know what that means.

You guys really need to be relaxed when watching once piece cause most of the characters that are important don't die that easily as it's an old school anime so the episodes ending on thrilling cliff hangers is because of the show airing once a week at the time of its release so you can be rest assured that unless indicated there aren't any horrific deaths of main characters so far
