Cassie's rule on herself isn't "I have power like all might" or something like that it's something like "I'm as strong as possible " and it can't quite reach all mights level. She's very close though last season they said Shiggy's new body is as strong as prime all might while his quirks were erased. And star was keeping up with him physically here.

She didn't stand a chance against Shigaraki in the first place + All for One knew her quirk and planned to get it. Her non-appearance or survival wouldn't have made sense tbh. Just because a character is cool doesn't mean she has to do more (Plus, she probably saved the world with the extension she gave them + by preventing All for One from getting New Order).

so firstly they clarified few times, new order can't power her up to anywhere close to all might level. there is a cap. so there is no power matching all for one scene. about stealing part, if she sets the rule new order can't be stolen for example, then along with her physical buff rule, she won't have any rules left so she won't have anything to fight shigaraki/AFO with

Precisely because she was so strong. AFO did say she was the biggest threat to his plan. It wouldn't have made sense for AFO not to go and get her power and for her to do nothing while her master's country was being destroyed.

@ron: not even past the intro yet but - she couldn't have "left him" in the vacuum she created because think about how flying works. No air = wings push against nonthing, turbines stop burning, propellers don't displace anything, airfoils don' generate lift. All the ways we fly on earth need air. that's why he started plummeting immediately. It was basically twofold - first to catch him off guard and panic because he can't breathe/speak, secondly it makes him fall like dead weight for a short period of time so she can predict exactly where he's going to be

when she explained her power it said when she doesn't touch things the rule she sets is weaker. Also she can't set insanely powerful rules its a scale. She cant say X person ceases to exists, she actually has to touch them and say something like the heart will stop if x happens.

you guys gotta chill because you're implying that she has no further significance, isn't brought up later on, or some remnant of her quirk doesn't come into play at some point, which is basically a spoiler. I haven't read the manga and its kind of a shitty move to announce that someone is no longer significant to the rest of the story we have yet to watch. Try to remember that there are unknowns to first time viewers. There's a spoiler channel in the discord.

Dude I am also anime only. I do not know what happens in the manga. I think what u don’t get is that killing her now just makes it seem like the writers did not know how to nerf shigaraki and just came up with her as an excuse to allow the MC to be able to beat him later

She could have saved herself and her quirk. She chose to sacrifice herself to weaken Shigiraki to a point that the others could hopefully win cuz she knew she couldn’t. She could have set the rule “Cathleen will not lose new order” and then “Cathleen will not decay” but she chose not to.

Introducing a new character that big this late... you have no room to keep the plot going, maintain the character development of midoriya and all of the students, along with the villains? Naw, as a manga reader she set up how strong Shigiraki had become. It showed that he was now thinking on AFOs level instead of his own and actually analyzing fights and his opponents quirk. It showed that he has developed the ability to read situations better, respond to them, and develop a counter.
