Bosse seems to regret what he did to boji and daida, doesn't seem willing to just let miranjo's dream fail, wants to test himself against boji, and doesn't actually want his people to die. I also think he wanted to give them a fair shake at beating him and miranjo so he stopped ouken. I honestly think he was knocking everyone closer together to heal them, he was just rough AF with it.
