Naruto is literally meant to be funny and serious at the same time, obviously the majority of shippuden takes itself more serious than part 1 did but it's still a funny show. It's actually one of my favourite episodes in the entire show because It's so funny. Kakashi - inherently goofy character, guy - inherently goofy character + their chemistry = a legitimately hilarious dynamic.

If you remember back at the Kage summit, Madara explained that the 9 tailed beasts are all derived from the 10 tails. So the rinnegan eye isn't the only thing that came from the Sage of Six Paths... Plus Naruto doesn't strike me as the sort of guy who will use the power of other people's eyes to control others like the 9 tails... Just not his style

The thing is, even if Obito survived, he would not have the right eye, simply because his right side, alongside with the face was completely crushed, so there would be no eyes left. Right eye is crushed and left eye taken by Kakashi, so we left with crippled little boy with no eyes and half of the limbs, with only left side of his body and half of the head lol. Naruto had the nine tails sealed in him the day he was born by the 4th hokage, which was also the day that was stated the 4th sacrificed himself to stop the nine-tails from destroying the village! These are great questions and observations on how the rinnegan does or doesn't work. It's a fun part of the show and you're not wrong putting energy into talking about it. The show hasn't just forgotten about it don't worry, I was super into it myself and couldn't stop bringing it up "is it like the avatar?" was my theory except I didn't believe it was just guaranteed to appear on someone at all times like it does in avatar. Obito was not on Kakashi's level lol. It's pretty clear Kakashi was always ahead. Kakashi was a Jonin in the flashbacks and one of the biggest prodigies at the time. Now right before he died he did unlock the sharingan, and he wasn't weak by any means. But he was definetly not stronger than Kakashi.

You did not watch the pain fight lol. 1- he was fighting for hours before that with 7 bodies. 2 he had just used almighty push and could use that pain for the whole first part of the fight. 3- once he could use that pain he started fucking naruto up and could've killed him at any point, his objective was to capture the jinchurikee. Then after Naruto transformed he fought a 8 tail ninetails out of conrtol. he only lost because Naruto transformed back. If he had stayed transformed he would've been sealed in the ball of dirt.

Yes you can have one rinnegan like the way kakashi has one uchiha eye. But it all depends on who has it. Rinnegan can do a lot but you’ll have to master it and have enough chakra to use it. Like all uchiha’s have sharingan but not all of them have mangekyo sharingan.

It's NOT a spoiler that none of the civilians in the village knew Naruto's relation with Minato. It gets mentioned and implied throughout Naruto (not Naruto Shippuden). It's little bits and pieces in many episodes. The 3rd Hokage especially mentions keeping it a secret/hidden from people. The details surrounding why they wanted to keep it a secret or the reasonings MIGHT be some LIGHT spoilers (not crucial to the plot). But it's very intuitive why a hokage would want to keep his family a secret, if you just do a bit of critical thinking, which Ron and Michelle are both great at.

Really suggest going back to the talk between Tsunade and Jiraiya before he left for the rain village to fight Pain with the knowledge you have now. I think you missed a lot there because you were confused and fixated on whether Naruto was the 4th hokage's son or not. They pretty much explain most of what you're missing on Kushina and Minato. Episode is Shippuden 126.

Essentially yes, Naruto's heritage is a plot hole. But let's just assume that no one knew/the people that knew never told anyone about his parents. That being said, the fact that Naruto looks like the 4th Hokage (hair and all) isn't really a good enough reason in-universe to assume that they are related.

The he elders kept it a secret from people in the village and only the higher ups know that he was the son of the Yellow Flash. The villagers only knew that he was the Ninetails host because that information was leaked. And Naruto’s last name was changed to his mothers last name to also protect him. Strength comes in many forms ron, although pain wiped out the village dont forget guy, killer bee, and kages weren't there. This war will really scale the strongest in the show. Rinnegan is strong but 16 year old new sage naruto can take out 5 of them by himself. Now imagine kakashi or a couple more sage clones with him. Its a lot closer than you think

People really underestimating Pain/Nagato. Yes, Naruto is that guy, & he beat him, but it's not so black & white. Pain had already wrecked the whole village, and he technically captured Naruto before the nine tail outburst. He also wasn't trying to kill him! Ron, you're actually right here about if Naruto had the eyes it would be gg. A multi-shadow clone rinnegan wielding Naruto is a scary site for anyone on that planet. People think just because characters are old they automatically get scaled past which isn't always the case.

Naruto didn't even beat Pain, technically. He fought a very, very weakened Pain and still had his hands pinned to the ground. To have any shot, he had to give his body up to the Nine-tails, and even the Nine-tails only managed to break out of the miniature moon Pain put Naruto in when he was just about to fully overtake Naruto from within. If Minato's chakra hadn't been around to save Naruto and give him another shot at life as well as the time to power up sage mode again, Naruto would've died. Naruto at that point could not win against even a weakened Pain. His victory that day came with the help of fatherly love and the power of his heart. But as a ninja, he didn't stand a chance.
