My bad yall! And thanks for the info! I know I was wrong with who was brought back. Hidan was not there lol but I am still curious how he is able to bring back nagato and deidara? Was he just collecting parts of them and storing them? lol shit i guess all of them. But im guessing it will be explained how and when you was able to get what was needed to bring them back.

In order use the reanimation jutsu you need to have the dead persons body/chakra. So someone like Danzo couldnt be brought back cause he exploded himself.

Back in childhood Naruto rewatch when orochimaru had the first and second hokage fight the third hokage Also I think sometimes you should watch the flashback because it exposes new perspectives and adds a little more but the flashbacks do become really excessive in certain arks that’s it’s almost considered filler for me

btw guyz, episodes 223 to 242 are fillers. also about the flashbacks, yea i think its a good idea for you to skip it since you guyz didnt wait every week for 1 episode. The studio decided to put flahbacks for 2 reasons : 1 ) Since naruto was a weekly anime and not seasonal, they didnt want the anime to catch up the manga. So, studios tend make the pacing worse (like one piece) or put flashbacks or even take a break (like bleach). 2) many fans were watching when naruto was airing, so the flashbacks could be useful to remind them what happened in the past. Watching Naruto "kai" is a good idea imo since you wont be tired of the flashbacks. You could also just skip the flashbacks while watching the normal naruto if you already know what happened and you dont need it. its up to you guyz.

Although Harry potter cam out first, more about Orochimaru was elaborated earlier. The 3 Sanin and a lot of Naruto is based off of Japanese folklore. We don't really know much about Voldermort until book 3-4 really. It would be cool if there was a little inspo though, I guess we'll never know.

Regarding naruto kai, it's a tough call, because to my understanding they are single episodes that cover sometimes a whole arc, so what would have taken you guys two weeks to go thru you might see it in a single episode, as a viewer yes for us it's better if you watch kai, since most of us have already seen the full episodes but for you guys and your schedule I would stick to how you are doing things now, also if you guys do kai, with your pace of two uploads a week, you'll be done with Naruto in like 3 months, which I feel is unfair for you guys since I feel like naruto is one of the big shows that brings many views to both patreon and YouTube

For a first time viewer i will always recommend watching it the normal way and not watching Naruto Kai. Yes Kai cuts out the fluff but I feel as first time watchers you wont be able to grasp and remember everything that happens in the show. So some of the flashbacks that the show provides helps you remember or make you understand it better.

I would definitely say just watch what is said to be canon. There’s also mixed canon which are the episodes with flashbacks or not main plot line but characters development then cuts back into real time. Skipping filler already can mess with comprehension of the show, I think it’ll do more harm than good by skipping through parts of episodes avoiding flashbacks

If you remember the Orochimaru fight against the 3rd hokage, they needed a human sacrifice to bring people back and it put the soul of that person into the sacrifice's body. Orochimaru sacrificed the girl with the bell technique that fought Shikamaru and the sound blast guy that found Shino to bring back the 1st and 2nd hokage.

1. Hidan was not summoned. 2. The hokages were NOT at full power during their fight in OG Naruto. You have no idea how strong they would be, if they were summoned at even close to their full power. 3. It might sound controversial, but even now, the summonings aren't at 100% of power compared to their prime (for complicated, spoiler-y reasons) 4. It's already been said, but the summonings are really just human sacrifices possessed by the summoned souls. 5. The scene where Sakura is wondering who she'll save first isn't canon at all. 6. I'm gonna play a bit of a devil's advocate, and say that even if it was canon, that scene isn't as bad as people initially think. Think about it. There's the fact that regardless of how we feel about it, Sakura DOES love Sasuke, so of course she's going to want to rush to to his side, if he's hurt. There's also the fact that even if she wasn't madly in love with Sasuke, Naruto also cares about Sasuke, so if she rushes to help him first, she's at risk of upsetting Naruto, who, as I believe, would rather die than let Sasuke die.

i would advice not skipping these flashbacks, one thing about Naruto, when you start seeing flashbacks when its not fillers, there is always a reason, to make you experience the information differently since it can be difficult sometimes to bring back an emotion you felt in ep 19 of OG Naruto for example.

The reanimation jutsu is a little loosey goosey. The coffins appear to represent the actual remains, but ACTUALLY they are using sacrificial bodies (when Orochimaru summoned 1st+2nd Hokage to fight 3rd during Chunin exam, their bodies dissolved to reveal the Sound genin that had been defeated by Shino & Shikamaru). So the bodies in the coffins aren’t literally corpses but just essences of the dead conjured onto sacrificial pawns. Makes sense cuz all these guys aren’t moldering skeletons, but complete bodies. Seems like the caster (Kabuto) had to do the legwork of tracking down samples (?) but maybe this could have been accomplished while the person being resurrected was still alive.

Nah that's speculation (malnutrition dead part) he was confirmed an effective immortal and he would be buried there forever with the Nara clan's forest watching over he's remains. And spoiler content also confirms it later down the line. He's immortality is not related to the jashin curse, that's he's way of transferring dmg to the other target, "linking" to them. "In the second Naruto fanbook, Masashi Kishimoto confirms that Hidan is still alive. However, he is dying a slow death due to lack of nutrition but he Will come back to life shortly after thanks to his healing factor."

As first time watchers I would definitly watch the flashbacks if I were you. Those will greatly help to make connections between multiple plot points in the near future when everything is laid on the table. Things are easy to miss the first time around. Also some of them are told a little bit diferantly than when first shown, with added context/information. Again, for first time watchers, those flashbacks are greatly recommanded. As for myself, I'am on my 5th or so rerun watching it with you guys. Loving the reactions, keep up the good work.

I agree with every1 else, no need to watch the edited version, OG naruto is best IMO. edit: im gonna keep mentioning it (and while Danzo is still fresh) I highly recommend checking out "the two uchiha" on youtube. There's 0 spoilers in it for where you're at in the anime, and it'll give a lot more context to itachi, danzo, and shisui. I know you guys would like it. It's only 17 mins long and both eng dub and sub versions are on YT, the dub has 7.3m views & sub has 179k which is pretty telling of the dubs quality for that in particular, you guys could use it as a chance to check out some of the dub VA's if you wanted to, but there's no wrong choice there. Please consider checking out either version of it!!

I mentioned the Naruto Kai version (not sure whether someone else also did). This version cuts all fillers, even in the mixed episodes and shortens the flashbacks to what it is intended in the manga (yes, the manga has flashbacks, really brief ones though). BUT! Business-wise, keep watching the anime like this, you guys. Otherwise, you might run out of episodes sooner than expected. Despite it enhancing the experience, being closer to the original source, it would hurt Patreon a little bit.

100% I think Naruto Kai is the better experience. Because it basically is the Manga. I rewatched Naruto like this and it was amazing. But of course, Patreon-wise there will be less content. Many people will say all these fillers and flashbacks are needed. Because that is how they have seen it, if they don't know the manga. So it is probably better for the satisfaction of most of their audience, to not watch Naruto Kai. I am totally fine if they don't, but it is the better experience in my opinion.

I know what you're referring to, we can't be specific about talking about it but I just think them seeing it has much more potential to enhance their viewing experience rather than hurt. Especially when "that scene" comes up in the future, and they already have the context for it. It can be argued both ways that either it's a minor spoiler or enhances viewing experience as context so it is what it is on what they decide to do. It'd be nice if they watch it either now or during the war arc, I just want them to watch it at some point cause it's rly good.

No. Fillers are not necessary to understand the story. They could even drop the anime right now and read the manga, which is filler-free, and they’ll understand the story just fine. I’d say that it’s actually the total opposite, fillers will confuse them and deliver a worse experience.

Brother forgot about Harry using parsletongue (snake language) in the story that's plot was LITERALLY about how similar Harry and Voldy are and that they are direct parallels. Same story Voldemort(literally right after he reveals he's Voldemort, when he was materialized as Tom Riddle) controlled a basilisk. A massive snake. Second book btw(Chamber of Secrets). Released in 1998. Two entire years before Orochimaru's first appearance. I would also bet there's more before then, that's just off the top of my head lol. Actually Like one of the first scenes in the whole story is Harry communicating with a snake at the zoo... Also off the top of my head... Respectfully, you don't know what you're talking about lol

Not to mention when books release is actually WAY after they were written. Like 1-3 years. Which is unlike manga, manga gets released fast. Like within 1-4 weeks(which is why they have so much pressure on them and don't have high life expectancies because of stress. This is a very known and unfortunate thing for Mangaka). Meaning the ideas were formed even further back, well before even writing it. It takes a very long time to write a book, especially ones as dense as HP.
