Fuck that bro, be proud of waking up early! Even a small victory is a victory, I know you’re just being a humble guy but keep up the good work bro, needed to hear some of that.

this topic rly resonates with me <3 all these people that you've shared so much love with all your life becoming so different that it shocks you and then you reflect and realize how much you've changed yourself. also just how much our experiences and relationships shape us, like these people i used to care about and spend time with are genuinely part of me and that's so beautiful. even if we aren't together now they all left their mark on me and that love will always be there. it hurts so bad when you meet old friends who reject how you've changed because we should all embrace and celebrate each other's growth on our own unique paths through life <3

I agree I get so sad when I miss people I care about who don’t care about me, but even if they don’t I will always wish them the best.

Plz give me honest comments. Recently I’ve been thinking about cutting out a freind. They say it’s all jokes but one guy who’ve I’ve been best friends with since 2nd grade has become so toxic. At the same time he has helped me and doesn’t poke into my personal life. He just is a freak of nature who works concrete pumps sleeps 1-3 hours a day but gets pissed if say we’re playing Xbox and for example I was getting offline last night (10pm) and like always he just became a asshole. Texted me at 3AM to know he’s still up. So it’s difficult because he does have sympathy but because “his job is a man’s job” and sleeps 1-3 hours I should do the same because my jobs easier. I always say that’s not heathy u should get some sleep. He’s just a dick now but has my back when needed. Tbh tho I might need to cut him off. He’s just not the guy I used to know in elementary-HS anymore. It’s a tough battle as you said Ron. Tbh I have 0 friends where I live. They passed away or moved reconnecting really helped me. This guy will hmu everyday so Ik he cares but he has a better job than me but I feel so much more mature. When it comes to me trying to better myself he is very manipulative. I feel like I’m wasting my time I’m trying to lose weight and get more sleep, and hand some time to myself.

If you are really close friends and you care about the relationship a bit try talking to him first if he brushes it off or tries to ignore your feelings rather than talking about it then yeah he just wants you there to feel superior then it is probably time to cut him off if he can't even hold a deep convo.

if ''friends'' say u changed, that means they are standing on point and dont move on that is why they say u changed <3

Hard pill to swallow for a lot of people!

He CANNOT hold a deep convo again realize I first met him in second grade. He now will call me names and try to make him feel like he’s the good guy. I would say something he calls me all the time. It involves acting like a woman which I don’t think is bad. He just loves to call me a dramatic women. I never said this. I hope this is not taken down.

I would sit down and have that tough conversation with him, and let it be known that our friendship is on the line here. So, if it's something he actually cherishes, he'll put his pride and immaturity aside for the sake of it.

yah this is tough. But it does sound like you are creating a reason in your head to hang on to this relationship simply bc "you have known him since second grade". While i do value loyalty, there is a line. I am not saying completely cut him off, but i def would lean towards the side of not talking to him as frequently and just letting him know your priorities right now and you just have less time to dedicate to him or gaming with him. He should be able to respect that and when you want to play games with him, he will be there.

We had a talk today his response was “no worries it’s not like anyone gonna game w u without me” which is true. In his defense if I say I will not play this game with so n so he makes sure to tell them I’m taking their spot. At the end of the day I do think we will split apart I already think that’s what’s best for me I think having no local friends is a huge reason I haven’t moved on if you get me

Can you talk about being stuck in life? Like feeling like your just going with the flow bc it’s what your comfortable with vs taking a leap of faith into the uncomfortable. Really don’t know if that makes sense but interested in your thoughts

I'm 31. I've gone through so many experiences in my 20s where really learning another person's character has made me completely rethink my relationships with certain people for the better. Toxicity and manipulation are such common traits for a lot of selfish people who don't care to understand what a healthy relationship or support looks like both with friends and your significant other. You don't need a social life bumbling with a hundreds of friends nor should you try to replicate that online either. Your closest and most cherished people are a handful and stick with you through thick and thin. Respecting yourself to step away from a relationship when you've outgrown it is completely okay and you should not feel guilty.
