Yeah all in all the animation wasn’t the best and they did mostly use still shots but I think they did a great job with the still shots and I also really liked the use of cgi on the footwork I thought it was a good touch but yeah apparently the animation is suppose to pick up when the U-20 match starts according to Isagis VA

I noticed the animation change before u addressed it at the end. It was way more dynamic in the first season. I hope it changes moving on with the season because the actual matches were a big part of the experience of this show for me

nah it's bad The animation is moving. At least the goal scene should have moved

For the most part the still shots don't bother me, but in critical places animation is definitely needed. Shidou's goal being the best example, it's really hard to imagine how the heck he got the ball in without the animation

Animation means moving nothing was moving here only still shots with a lot of shadows and unnecessary lights the art was on point tho (not every time) but the animation was straight ass

I was so disappointed in this episode and to think that we’re gonna see that for the rest of the matches coming seems incredible to me like 2 whole years to give us a powerpoint presentation… and you can tell they know they did a badwork because they tried to add all these shadows and unnecessary lights for no reason 🤦🏾‍♂️but I heard some people say that the good animation will be for the u20 match but nobody ever gives a source I hope so because that arc is really good but the one actually being animated was supposed to be great too sooo

People are complaining about the new animation, but like its more similar to the manga which is cool. Plus i dont mind the key animation when the moments they do pop off for goals and stuff, minus karasu and otoyas last goals

i personally didn't notice a huge animation change but people acting like this doesn't happen for 90% of anime is wild to me like so many shows use lesser animation for less important episodes??? like this isn't something new im confused why people are so upset?

75% of the episode is conversation and inner dialogue, ppl acting like they need to animate Isagi better when hes just standing there thinking to himself lol. Studios gotta budget to work with, I'd rather have them use a few still images and effects in those scenes and put more effort into the scenes that matter
