Tony Wallace

my thanksgiving was last month lol but happy thanksgiving to you guys

Ryan Alspach

it's more like thanksgiving/christmas. because the time halloween is over , stores already have Christmas stuff out and the jingles playing.

BashaM

Same. After they reach 278 (if they'll ever reach it at this point) I'll evaluate whether to continue my membership with them to be honest. I like them, but too many shows (and now even movies).

PudDing

yess!!! code geass LFG!

Bak choy

That One Piece upload Thursday is one of my most anticipated. Can wait till Tuesday it’s going to be great

Arz.09

The upload is Thursday meaning it won’t drop tuesday

Chase023

I don't mind u guys missing days for holidays or whatever but maybe u should upload extra content like a double feature for missing? That's just what I wanna see.. lol One Piece especially..

JamStrawhatPirate

it makes zero sense to me if you have pre-recorded reactions why can't you just pre-upload the videos instead of missing the upload?? Google: Yes, you can preupload content to Patreon by scheduling posts to publish at a later date and time.

JamStrawhatPirate

will be very disappointed if there's no One Piece as its the only show I subscribed to watch!

Bak choy

They are saying the upload Wednesday and Thursday won’t happen so whatever they are uploading Thursday will come next Tuesday instead

Pizza_Mozzarella

I'm sure it will come at some point, as it's one of the biggest and highly rated anime out there. It's a long adventure (pun intended) so they might replace Naruto with it or something idk. Anyway, it most likely will eventually come, I'm eating good with Naruto, One Piece, FMAB and Code Geass now so I'm chilling

RikudoRyan

Exact same here. We've had Christmas shit in the stores since before Halloween. Probably like late September. I think it's so dumb 🤣

Kayso

They already started Code Geass I'm sure its in sub

Kayso

Ikr it literally fits his personality lol

Kayso

Happy Thanksgiving

Chris pastore

how about you stop complaining and be a decent human being. Do you work on thanksgiving? didnt think so. they arent obligated to upload on holidays. let them enjoy it just like you do.

Raventerrace

You guys should definitely react to the penguin 🔥🔥🔥

JamStrawhatPirate

if you actually read my comment I recommended a solution which doesn't involve them working on Thanksgiving. Google: Yes, you can preupload content to Patreon by scheduling posts to publish at a later date and time.

Angel ramirez

That doesn’t make sense lol. Why can’t they follow a traditional job schedule like everyone else does? Do they make you work extra days at your job to make up the days missed on holidays?

JamStrawhatPirate

& yes I actually do work on all holidays under a government contract the only exception is Christmas .

Mateusz Kuklinski

Nah that’s a totally valid point. We’re paying them for free lol. I’m not giving them a pass just because it’s a holiday.

Mateusz Kuklinski

Because this isn’t a traditional job. It’s content creation and others are going to eat their lunch one day for lack of consistency.

Rubz

some people really need to learn to calm down, be respectful and empathetic and, above all, use their heads. they have a pretty fixed schedule of uploads that they have to stick to in order to keep things in order and to please every fan of the different series (which is difficult anyway). compare it to streaming providers like Netflix or Crunchyroll, where simulcasts also come out on fixed days and the customer knows that, especially if they only subscribe for certain series, there is a schedule that everyone can see. so you know what to expect, the only difference here is that the two are normal people who also have a right to take a break on holidays or other events like regular people and, to stay with the analogy, streaming services also often have breaks until a new episode comes out (like the One Piece anime at the moment). Come on guys, the two of them always give us good reactions and during the holidays love and understanding should be spread (ideally always), above all we know that they have had to go through a lot recently, so I appeal to your good nature. Take the time and thank you for the great reactions!

Michelle Lam

@mateusz We know its not a traditional job which is why we take less time off than a normal 9-5. bc we understand how lucky we are. We appreciate you being here, bc we know you dont have to, but to say were not consistent is kinda insane to me! Sure the past few months there are missed uploads from time to time, and days off for special occasions (holidays, family emergencies etc) but we are and have been consistently uploading for the past 3 years. People just tend to remember the missed uploads, and not the 90% of the time we are uploading consistently. i get why you or anyone is mad/upset though. you have every right to have expectations when you spend $5 or $10 a month to support a creator. I just needed to address the belief that we are not consistent.

Majoz

yes ofcourse but if people pay for the schedule, shouldnt they atleast upload the videos they missed, atleast other reactors i watch do this, i mean they should have videos ready ahead of time to upload on situations like this, if love and understanding should be spread then u should also understand the opinions of other patreons, many probably looked forward to this thursday, and someones membership might run out on friday, so say they subscribed for one month so that on the last week a specific one piece episode would be posted. now they have to pay for another month just for this episode, you have to look at it from all directions

JamStrawhatPirate

you shouldn't start comments by questioning peoples morality just because they have a different thought than you its patronizing. We all have the same privileges as Subscribers we all pay the same money. There's nothing wrong with people commenting about their experience after all we are just creating a discussion.

Shinra Reacts!

You guys and your strange, pretentious and entitled takes are wild. You pay taxes to fund publicly accessible government buildings, like a post office, but I can guarantee you won't be using that service on a federal holiday. To demand what you guys are demanding is very disingenuous. Telling someone how they should manipulate their schedule, that you have no insight into, is crazy work.

Shinra Reacts!

It not being a traditional job doesn't mean they still aren't regular people. They don't live in a separate world or time space. They still function in regular society like regular people.

Chase023

I don't think anyone is really upset.. I am not.. I just wanna see more one piece that's all.. Its never a demand only just a comment for me. Waiting on One Piece twice a week well for me that is a bit long hahaha.. For such a long series and all the content you do, It would be nice to see every other day but hey I am just wishing... LOL..

JamStrawhatPirate

Your comparing oranges to apples. It’s a media channel that can be operated from anywhere, unlike public services which are in person. calm down. You don’t have to be present to pre-upload a video, I’ve rendered videos whilst doing other things.

JamStrawhatPirate

I just want to know why you don’t do pre-uploads if some content has been pre-recorded which you stated in the past

Rubz

I understand your opinions and your arguments very well and I'm really only referring to a few people because I've read some very disrespectful comments and wrote my comment out of disappointment and emotion, but as long as the criticism is constructive and respectful I have no problem with it and this is also important for a good exchange. That's why I'm writing that the most important thing for me is respect but also empathy and I want to mention again that the two of them upload very consistently and reliably throughout the year with the exception of events that you can't influence and in this case holidays. I thought it was known that the schedule changes over the holidays but if it was unclear then you should definitely note this on the schedule or announce it in good time so that it is communicated clearly and fairly and so that the subscribers know what to expect. I agree with you there. I apologize if i have offended anyone and I definitely don't want to present my opinion as the only correct one. Thank you for your answers, have a nice holiday!

Andreia Fernandes

Can you react to Bleach? Please please? 🫶🏼

botanbutton

I'm assuming because editing is a thing and their editor is taking time off too. And then their mods who might handle the uploads could be taking off too. Maybe there is travel, and packing, and of course, during Thanksgiving and Christmas, no one's going to do WORK while with family. It's best to let the work rest and come back to it after the holiday. They're not a huge television production team with hundreds of people working around the clock to ensure there is holiday programming. I promise, you won't die or anything if you miss uploads.

JamStrawhatPirate

It’s very understandable from their perspective they want to enjoy holidays. But I’m also sure there are Patreons subbed here around the world, where in different countries Thanksgiving is not a celebrated holiday.

Fio

I think that when they say "this is our job" (they’ve mentioned it several times), they’re reinforcing the expectations of the followers on this platform. As “customers,” we naturally want a schedule and expect it to be followed. It’s a show, and even though it’s only five dollars, as customers, we expect that service to be provided. I understand that there are emergencies or vacations, but on other platforms, they have two people upload content to keep everything flowing smoothly. I don’t think they’re fully appreciating this perspective. For example, I’m only following one show (Naruto). If that show is cut off or delayed for some reason, my experience won’t be good because I’m only watching one thing. So if that gets delayed, it’s not a very pleasant experience. Despite all these management issues, I really enjoy Ron & Ginger’s reactions, but honestly, it would be nice if they could consider these suggestions or viewpoints. We don’t want them to just react to videos. It’s a matter of organization, and maybe having a team of editors instead of just one person. These are suggestions, not comments with hate or negativity. Have a great week, everyone.

finn

enjoy the holidays and relax! don't stress about some of these comments lol

botanbutton

I mean, okay? I know Japan sure doesn't have Thanksgiving but do you see any Japanese patrons voicing displeasure? They definitely could if they wanted to but they likely won't because...they understand. Do you send emails & tweets of dissent to Tokyo TV, TBS or some other Japanese tv station when an anime episode isn't aired because of a national holiday not celebrated anywhere else?

botanbutton

They will after Naruto, apparently.

botanbutton

This happens to me far more often than not, and I'm a member with 13 patreons. There will be times when I only get 2 showings out of all of them. I feel like you're talking yourself out of extra OP episodes by being this way.

Tacosareneat

Wow thats pretty narcissistic... It doesn't matter where you are in the world, you deserve at LEAST 2 weeks off a year. The only developed countries that have under 10 days off a year are china and Japan requires 10. It doesn't matter if you celebrate the holiday they celebrate, they deserve time off each year. And They take about the average time off of an American which is far below average.

Tacosareneat

Ron and Michelle If you guys took constant time off, I might understand being angry, but you guys take less time off than the average American (which is FAR below the world average). So people getting mad at you not posting on Thanksgiving is fucking insane to me lmao

Angel ramirez

than inform yourselves lmao, every country has holidays what difference does it make when it lands?

Usher

I completely understand and some time off is completely valid. It just sucks that almost every break I can remember happens on one piece days😭

JamStrawhatPirate

I’m Acknowledging the gap their absence creates which simply highlights how much I value their work brings to me and other people. That doesn’t invalidate their need for rest—I’m just offering a different perspective. Both viewpoints can coexist without one being seen as dismissive or wrong. I never once said they should not take a holiday. creators have every right to take a break, my point was that the assumption that everyone universally relates to this specific “holiday” might not apply. And Feeling disappointed about a content pause isn’t the same as being narcissistic. Narcissism implies selfishness and a lack of empathy, and neither applies here.

JamStrawhatPirate

It’s funny seeing the overreaction from other people just because we are expressing how much we value their reactions and that we will be sad that an upload will be missed. We must not be dedicated enough to be called true Patreons 🙄

Jeremy G

React to thanksgiving dinner 🔥

Jeremy G

Did you just assume everyone gets holidays off? At your grown age? 💀

botanbutton

Thursdays must coincide with a lot of holidays tbh. That does suck.

botanbutton

I hear you, fam. I understand. I'm going to be bored a little bit without the Naruto Shippuden and Black Clover uploads on Wednesday. But at the same time, I'm not worried about it too much since I know it's Thanksgiving, I got a Switch, PS5, PC to take up my time, and knowing them, they might decide to overcompensate on uploads after the holiday (they've done it before). I just know their good for it. I love their content too, but I love them as people just as much and trust them to do what's best for them, their editor, their mods, and Sushi Squad. That's it. Also, you're just coming on a little condescending with how you're "asking" about pre-recorded videos and pre-uploads (can't tell how you really feel since it's text). They know how pre-uploads work; but there may be a reason it may not work for them right now. There's a way to give solid and valid feedback without sounding whiny or condescending.

gee

@botanbutton. You (and others) are missing the point here - the person voiced what doesn't make sense to them, and offered a solution. I have to agree - there a several mechanisms in place for situations like this, esp since they bulk watch. As paying customers you have every right to question why these are not being utilised. As a community (sushi squad) finding solutions through discussion is a good thing!

gee

One of the few series where i think dub is nearly on par with og. Both versions are great, but i agree. Dub would be easier for them to follow (since they're watching multiple shows, and this shows info overload)

harinder

one piece noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

EnzoTorales

Me too 😭😭 I only watch one piece with them right now

지원

top 3 ep in arc it's sad T.T

Chase023

Yup totally agree with that. I don't care if they miss days due to whatever, and that's fine but I don't know why they don't consider making up for the missed days like pre uploads or giving us an extra upload next time. I see that as fair and not even controversial..

botanbutton

@gee Of course! Finding solutions as a community is important, no doubt! I certainly don't have an issue with that, and I don't think anyone who has been pushing back thinks differently. It's just the WAY in which the solutions are being presented. They're seemingly not being presented as solutions or feedback but complaints and whining (SEEMINGLY!) and then veiling it as such. Like OP's comment for instance: "it makes zero sense to me if you have pre-recorded reactions why can't you just pre-upload the videos instead of missing the upload?? Google: Yes, you can pre-upload content to Patreon by scheduling posts to publish at a later date and time. " He then posts a second comment: "will be very disappointed if there's no One Piece as it's the only show I subscribed to watch!" To me, reading this, it comes across accusatory ("why can't you"), bratty ("it makes zero sense to me"), condescending ("Google: Yes, you can pre-upload"), & entitled ("it's the only show I subscribed to watch!"). It's all a matter of tone/delivery. I think @Chase023 did a better job saying the same thing but with less of the ascribed emotions I gave. They posted: "I don't mind u guys missing days for holidays or whatever but maybe u should upload extra content like a double feature for missing? That's just what I wanna see.. lol One Piece especially.." If they drop the "or whatever" and say "can" instead of "should", this would be 100 points. Right now it's 90 points, lol. All I am saying is communicate kindly & empathetically. Everyone has a right to voice their opinion/feedback/concern/etc. since we're paying money. But since we know they are all small team with issues just like us, they deserve the benefit of the doubt and empathetic communication. Ron & Michelle are both sweet & always ready to please the Sushi Squad because they understand we are keeping their feet on solid ground.

Mitch

Enjoy

DBoogiewhore

Bruh on god i was at work like "new dattebayo ship when i get off i cant wait". That shit just broke my heart yoo😂😂

DRoger

Me rn 😭😂

Rja831

Mannn fuck thanksgiving lol give me my dattebayo 😆

Patrone07

Lol To be honest most people don't do anything different on Thanksgiving besides eat alil more but they/me will ask for a day off from work just cuz it's a free day off and I don't celebrate pagan Holidays 😆

SETH DANIEL FERNANDEZ

Please Upload first the TRIPLE DROP for ONE PIECE 271,272,273 on FRIDAY (your time).

Spicy Mike

Maaaaaaan!!! Now I gotta wait next weeekkkkk?!!

Kevsss

couldnt they have been pre recorded? but nooooooo, they rather sleep in or play monster hunter all night. SMH priorities all fucked up. its a job at the end of the day.

Krone

I didn't even read this post because I figured it was pretty self explanatory and not controversial, but I came back just to double check what the schedule was. The amount of entitlement and butthurt kids here is astounding. They are taking a HOLIDAY off. It doesn't matter if they COULD pre-record it and maintain their schedule. Yall are acting like pre-recording everything to get it out on time would somehow magically give them time off when they need it, but if they aren't filming anything on Thanksgiving day, doesn't that mean they would have to do extra filming either before or after to maintain the schedule? Why should they have to do more work to make up for taking a holiday off? And most of the people complaining are saying they only subscribe for One Piece or Naruto....Cool. You can access that tier for $5 a month. If you are really so pressed about missing one upload for something that only costs you $0.16 per day, you probably have more concerning things to worry about.

Krone

It's a job at the end of the day, right? Do you realize how many jobs are currently closed right now because it's a holiday? Only 2 days a year do most business in America close, and this is one of them. You're priorities are fucked up if you have to come here to whine about some anime reactions lol

Nǐçķ

Why Wednesday tho, isn’t the holiday Thursday and for some Friday as well 🤔 I only get Thursday off in my job ( New York ) oh well have a happy thanksgiving 🦃

Shivank Chopra

It's all fine, taking time off n all. Just a humble reminder to not take paying subscribers for granted :)

Kevsss

sorry was at WORK, couldnt reply sooner. what im saying is if someone is getting paid, then theres no reason to slack off 2 days extra then necessary. and not whining, just pointing out the difference in work ethic between ppl.

Jonathan

bro they're the ones who go on about how much of a privilege it is to get paid to watch anime for a living. yeah maybe its unfair of us to demand that they stick to their schedule but id bet its preferable to going back to their regular day jobs.

Krone

No one cares you were working on Thanksgiving, you're not getting any bonus points. If you claim your original comment wasn't whining, then idk what to tell you because it most definitely was. In addition, they post multiple videos EVERY DAY. Missing an occasional upload for personal reasons or holidays is not "slacking off". I understand they are getting paid, obviously since I'm here I happen to be paying them as well. But as a reasonable human being, I understand that everyone needs to take days off every now and then. Get over yourself.

Krone

I wouldn't say it's unfair to expect the schedule to be stuck to @Jonathan, but you have to realize they are just two people and an editor. I'm not necessarily saying it's a lot of work or anything, but you have to understand that the occasional unexpected late or missed upload is going to happen. People get sick, people needs breaks, people want to spend time with their family on holidays. So while it's unfortunate, just give them some grace and move on. Again, it's 1-2 days out of the entire month that most people only paid $5 for. That's $0.32 that they "wasted". I promise that $0.32 will not hurt them, nor will the emotional damage from not seeing the reaction at the promised time.

iu

no

harinder

Idk why you speaking for everyone, let people comment how they want, just as you expressing your point of view, they are sharing their. I love rice and ginger content, they are both lovely people, and tbh, i don't mind if they take vacations, It's not about 5$ subscription, me personally I would have paid even more if the service i am getting is worth it. Yea, you are right 0.32$ might not be much but only if u counting a single guy.

slim713Htown

Happy Thanksgiving yea enenjoy yea time off

Jordan

I usually don’t comment on posts like these or even uploads very often, but I do watch a lot of content every week. That being said, I felt the need to chime in, not because I think I’m right, or I have it all figured out, but because I’ve seen some discourse on this post and it seems to be controversial for the most part, so I decided to leave my 2 cents here… if anyone cares 1). Taking a break is fine, especially on a holiday, and especially when that holiday usually involves traveling, and/or family staying in one house. 2). I understand looking forward to something and feeling a type of way bc it wasn’t there when you thought it would be, I was also feeling it bc I’ve been busy with thanksgiving but thought I was gonna be able to catch up on reactions tonight. 3). It’s not just their schedule, there’s also an editor who has their own schedule, holiday traditions, family dynamic, etc. 4). It could’ve been done ahead of time, like that’s a possible thing that could have happened yeah. But again, that involves people like their editor who may edit other things for other people or their own projects and may already have a full workload and not enough time to edit another 2-3 hours of content, per day, for 2 days, on top of their other work and still maintain deadlines.. 4). To R & M, we all love you guys and value you, and appreciate your content, we wouldn’t be here if we didn’t. Thank you guys, and happy holidays

Krone

I don't recall speaking for anyone other than myself. He was expressing my opinion and I was expressing mine, I think both are fine. Obviously people are allowed to be upset when something they were anticipating doesn't end up happening, but the way he expressed his dissatisfaction was childish at best, so I felt the need to respond. I only brought up the money because other people here including kev have been mentioning it. Sure when you add all of us together, it's a lot of money. But the amount of money each individual person is paying doesn't warrant the amount of entitlement a lot of them are feeling. Like you, I might pay even more if I felt like the service was worth it. But even if I was paying more, I would still expect them to occasionally miss an upload, because it happens.

Tommy -_-

Will we get Naruto on Friday?

Mr.popiah

Well, i do work on Thanksgiving. And then what?

Jonathan

they're in control of the amount of work that's involved. just because it's an unserious high paying job doesn't mean there isn't a bar for performance that they have to meet. idk dude, other reaction channels seem to have figured it out by releasing pre-recorded uploads and still take time off. if they want to treat this casually idk why they just dont react for free then?

Byakuran

no unfortunately they usually skip the days if it passed. this is like the 4th time they put one piece out like this. Their longest show and yet has the fewest updates because of the days they happen to be on lol. Hope they triple drop it at least thought its gonna end on a cliffhanger

Gyt

Don’t mind y’all taking breaks at all just hope we get the eps before Tuesday 🥲

Tommy -_-

Alright thanks for the info!!

Amadou Sagna

Bra ngl if there is no triple drop on Monday I’m out, because we was already being held back by the itachi (KINDA) filler eps and now this…

Amadou Sagna

Not gonna lie I’m an editor and there not much to edit here on Patreon, maybe in YouTube but def not on Patreon it’s intro outro and a few cuts throughout the vid to leave some parts out they dnt want nothing hard about that.💀

Amadou Sagna

I agree taking whatever holidays off and even the day after but Friday I believe there should’ve been some eps dropped… at least naruto and maybe one piece.

Amadou Sagna

Idk about u but I think ima start reacting to anime lol and if u really love doing this, honestly there’s no breaks lol all u do is hit that record and watch and if it’s on Patreon it’s even easier to edit and put out cause u dnt gotta worry about copyrights lol… but i assume this is one of their jobs or idk they just dnt feel like it today but this ain’t too hard

110chris

so they skip one piece again?

Blu3

For real bro shit tragic

josh

wow no naruto is crazy

Galaxy Nemesis

First of all, Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy the time with family! However, I am confused/concerned why we would have to wait until next week Tuesday for the One Piece drop that was supposed to be on Thursday? It feels kinda unfair that you would drop Fridays episodes regularly before covering what you missed on Wednesday and Thursday... I feel like having some reactions stock piled ahead would go a long way specifically for at least One Piece where we already only have 4 episodes a week (which by normal standards would be a lot but this series has 1100+ episodes...)

josh

@Galaxy nemesis- I feel bad for one piece fans that wanna watch their reactions because yeah the way their upload schedule is going (4 eps a week) it’s gonna take them atleast another 2 years plus to finish it lol

Amare D.

Aye I'm new but do y'all record the streams and post here
