Yes and no lol he didn’t get to choose having licht in his body but yeah it is a choice but William is also still neutral. He didn’t know whose side to be on. That doesn’t excuse the people who were harmed by his lack of choice though

I’ve read the manga and finished this show twice and over I already know he didn’t choose to have him in his body that’s obvious the fact doesn’t change he let light take over in front of the wizard king knowing the whole time Licht would lost likely fight Julius

He put the lives of the whole kingdom and Julius at risk because he “couldn’t choose one” their was no remaining good “neutral ” in this case one side was gonna have blood shed and he just didn’t want to choose which side did and he clearly set the wizard king up thinking they would handle it for him and absolve him from having to worry about it anymore
