I think it's too far fetched to say they will like something. There are good parts of Boruto, like the continuation of the bigger story. But the characters, power scaling, most of the shit that happens on the first plane, might not be to their liking. I also liked the whole story with Ootsutsuki that starts here, but i can't stand Boruto. While Naruto and NS seemed like Kishimoto's passion, Boruto seems like a way to suck any possible money of this franchise. The 6.0 rating on MAL, it's not just haters, you know...

Also, The 6.0 rating is because there is a bigger portion of filler than there is canon which adds to the average. If you take an actual look at the ratings instead of the cumulation of them, then you would see the canon episodes regularly score 3.7-4 and above out of 5
