Denny was the work partner of Maria the person that got framed for Maes Hughes death. Roy mustang helped her fake her death so she can escape to Xing, which Denny and others don't know about.... Maria and Denny work under Armstrong.

That Denny guy hasn't been shown in a long time. Back during the 5th lab stuff, he was partners with Maria Ross (the girl who was framed for Hughes' murder) and was a bodyguard for Ed and Al when Scar was after them.

Appreciate the acknowledgement of having read the comments, going off of the Mustang's mum's name explanation :p And I don't recall the Denny guy at all. :p

Denny was the other officer with Maria Ross(Short black hair with mole under the eye female officer that was framed to have killed our fav Maes Hughes, Mustang's best buds) who were assigned to be bodyguards of Ed and Al when they were in Central.

Sergeant Denny Brosh is one of the underlings of mayor armstrong. He and Second Lieutenant Maria Ross were appointed as security for the Elric brothers when they returned to Central after facing Scar in the first chapters.

That's actually the great thing about Fullmetal Alchemist. A forgettable background character like Denny is still important.
