The show is wayyy too goofy. Sure, the manga had it's goofy moments but it was serious when it's supposed to be. It feels like they're making everything a joke in the show.

Yes, I agree with that, but this show is literally goofy all the time. Even when it should get a bit serious. The manga is as popular as it is because it mixes goofiness and seriousness well.
