Kinro and Ginro are brothers btw. It’s understandable. Many people tend to get bored during training arcs and heavy world-building. Personally, I enjoy Slime because it mixes in some Slice of Life elements. Dr. Stone, on the other hand, strikes a better balance between world-building and action, which appeals more to those who are into fights and fast-paced action scenes.

I agree with the end discussion. The fun of Dr.Stone is the science but it gets very tiring when there's no plot. It quickly starts to become a Japanese magic school bus. But the plot and conflict forcing them to create certain things or stopping their progress is what makes it so compelling.

When Ron started his rant about world-building, i knew he's gonna mention Slime XD Those are my exact feelings. Imo, Slime got ruined for me in that season, to the point i dropped it totally (i already wasn't the biggest fan of S2, and S3 was even worse, the first Arc was meh, and the 2nd Arc was even more of a sleeper).

Dr. Stone is not even close to Slime in terms of time wasting. But if you don't enjoy the journey making stuff, then you probably aren't gonna like it for long. I'm glad How it's Made the anime was made for me though. I love the process.

You don't have to worry about that, Ron. Dr. Stone has a perfect balance of world-building and action. And it does so throughout all four seasons. There's truly no season of Dr. Stone that's boring or feels drawn out. And Kinro and Ginro are brothers, btw 😅

Michelle is so smart 🤓 Like seriously tho, knowing that the second root word denotes the shape of the bacteria? 🤓🤓🤓 Others have said it, but I'll add my opinion too. Don't worry, Ron! Dr. Stone is a story with a pretty balanced plot, so you won't get bored because we're stuck making rubber or something, lol. While I don't get bored very easily from world building, I can understand how long lulls in a story can make someone want to skip ahead or pass. Dr. Stone's mangaka understood the assignment so even the characters like to move the plot along quickly if possible (Senku will skip steps with science!).
