So we're very close to finishing this arc (finally) and I really hope you guys can enjoy the ride wholeheartedly after it's finished. The other day I got a bit emotional because Franky's voice actor just retired and in the newer episodes you can really feel the change with the new voice actor. We're talking about people that have voiced these characters for more than two decades, having one of them finally leave made me terribly sad. They're getting too old now and I just don't know what I'll do or feel when Luffy's voice actress retires. There's no one on Earth that even comes close to her voice in Luffy. Well, this is just me gagging. Please enjoy the show. You still have so many episodes left to enjoy !!

the thing with robin , she is not that slow or anything, the arms she grows on ppl have the same physical strenght as she has . Moria is very big and pretty strong himself so snapping his neck or anything takes a lot of effort and also any damage on the arms she grows she feels the pain of it so she can't carelesly do it .

No she isn't, people expect her to be op, but failed to realise, her power aren't all powerful, her 1 weakness is her physical strength, otherwise she would beat zoro, neck snap done. And other creating too many body parts is a weakness itself, she gets damaged if she isnt careful

I like to shout this. I think Robin is prob being overrated by them a bit. I think One Piece anime maybe manga doesnt really show it well but the enemy are significantly faster than Robin. But it looks like taking too long to do a move because they are literally dialoging.

Ye i agree this ending is so lazy 🐍. Also gotta remember the pacing of one piece anime is known for being subpar and manga also has pacing issues. I think robin attack are just slower than her enemy but the anime put so much dialog and slows it down, the action looks extra slow for her.

Remember guys, Robin may have some pretty overpowered Devil Fruit abilities, but she’s still a lady. You can’t expect her to take hits like Sanji or Zoro — even if Usopp can handle a bit more, but not Robin since physically she is significantly weaker and not like them. Moria had to use his own shadow to let Oars use the "stretching" ability, which meant he couldn’t pull his usual body-swapping tricks. At the same time, Nightmare Luffy was landing hits on Moria, who was inside Oars. Normally, Moria avoids taking direct damage thanks to his annoying shadow powers and swap abilities, so getting hit like that by Nightmare Luffy actually had a big impact. It’s good you questioned how it all ended so suddenly. But hey—it’s Oda we’re talking about. So just sit tight.

I mean nightmare Luffy is so strong that he's able to toss parts around like a ragdoll. So I don't think it's crazy to believe that nightmare Luffy's punches are powerful enough to knock out Moria.

I definitely think Robin could be CLUTCH-ing her way to OHKO on every pirate. Well, the dude ones anyway. Also, believe it or not this arc is just starting. ALSO... has there been a villain Luffy hasn't defeated just by punching him faster/harder??? Most people will tell you the weakest part of this arc is how much of it is spent just brawling with Moria/Oars.

It is. Everything was slowed down for the audience to see what is happening lol but that scene happened in about 2 seconds or so.

he didnt only catch Moria off guard, but also dont forget about anime time -- Luffy right now was being really fast, think of it that he has Gear 2 on, but 5 times faster than that. And Moria, frankly, himself is really weak, its just his devil fruit power, thats so annoying

the weakness for robin is her physical strength. she can snap fodders' necks but for a guy like moria she lacks the strength to do so. and also for stuff like the bats that bit her they are simply moving too fast, think of it like she has to lock on mentally onto something to act on it, if they are too fast for her to track she cant do anything. just a byproduct of the anime pacing and have to try to imagine it being faster in 'real time'

I get why people say this is one of the worst arcs. The pacing is just awful from start to this point + overall feeling of being a filler arc compared to other. But there are some god-tier moments (you know what I mean). And after the previous arc being so good, it’s tough to follow. But the upcoming arcs? They’re what really pushed One Piece into the conversation of being one of the best, if not the best, anime

Sometimes y'all need to remember this is adaptated from inanimate manga panels. The timing "issues" where you're wondering why characters don't act quicker are not really happening, the anime just chose to drag those scenes/cuts. For example those still shots of everyone reacting to Robin getting separated from her shadow really happen in a span of a second. It's similar to what you've been confronted to from time to time with Naruto , and overall older long running weekly anime. (e.g. the scene where Sakura failed to poke that one important person's eye in a crucial moment of the war arc. It all happened in a flash but the anime added unnecessary tension and you're left wondering why Sakura hesitated so much while in fact, she did not)

Anime time isn't always linear.. just because 30 mins pasted IRL, doesn't mean 30 mins is passed in an anime or a scene. Everything can be happening at the same time and each scene has to be visited and shown. It can't always be linear. 1 min in real time could be like a few hours to a day or whatever, however they portray it. You guys need more Experience in Anime and/or suspense of reality for fantasies.. LOL... haha..

If you see a character with a great devil fruit, don't immediately assume that they can use it perfectly. A character's strength and intelligence do not depend on the strength of the devil fruit. In One Piece, there are many characters with really strong devil fruits, but because they lack enough creativity, tactical thinking or intellect, they cannot use them to their full potential. Moria is one of these characters. Moria was actually just arrogant because of his devil fruit's strength, and so he took it easy and never really developed his powers. That's why Luffy is so strong with his gum-gum-fruit. The power of this fruit is very simple but Luffy makes it so strong because he's so damn creative and never stops developing and improving his abilities, and always comes up with new ideas.

One thing I will say is that you shouldn't group all the Warlords on the same level in terms of strength. They all strong for sure but they come in different packages...I'm sure you can already tell from the difference in vibes/aura between Moria & Kuma

True. They should think of devil fruits as a tool...or a skill/talent for that matter. Lets use the ability/Talent to Sing as a comparison. You are born with the talent to sing so you get cocky and don't train your voice, you eat all kinds of things that results in your voice becoming cracked over time because you didn't train. You should not be surprised that you eventually suck compared to someone who probably couldn't sing as well as you naturally, but trained their voice over the years.

Yes, totally disagree. Oar is crazy strong and he knock out Zoro and sanji with one punch. Luffy stop his punch like nothing. Safe to say it’s like comparing Luffys ball peen hammer punch to Nightmare Luffys 1 ton hammer punch. Plus Morias shadow is in with oars so Oars can stretch. Make sense if Oars get hurt, Moria shadow and Moria gets hurt too.

This arc is really fun but because it was about to catch up to the manga at the time, the studio added in some MAD filler and the episodes were so long that they became annoying. So yeah, it's a double edged sword, IMO.

Arc is good but the past 10+ episodes have been very badly paced, one of the worst stretches of episodes in One Piece. Beginning is good and ending is peak, glad we're finally done with the slop in the middle.

Orange Town and Syrup village are worse, and yes in the manga it's 10 times better which goes for most arcs, but the pacing here is especially bad.
