Kenobi TV Show is basically a sequel to this movie, Andor and Rogue One are like prequels to episode 4. Mandalorian takes place after episode 6, Ahsoka also takes place after ep 6. And I highly reccommend the Clone Wars tv show which takes place between episode 2 and ends right before episode 3.

Responding to Ron's comment about wondering how Obi-Wan won the fight: Obi-Wan didn't win the fight because he was stronger than Anakin. He won it because he used Anakin's arrogance and ego against him. He basically taunted him into using the move that he himself used against Darth Maul in episode 1 (When Obi-Wan jumps up over Darth Maul and cuts him in half), and so he knew exactly what Anakin was going to do. Not to mention, its an attack that immediately puts Anakin at a disadvantage in terms of defending himself. Anakin being all pissed off and not thinking with a calm mind fell right into his trap. You're right that Anakin was the chosen one and he was supposed to end up far stronger than any other jedi or sith in the galaxy, but in the end it was his own mind and inability to properly deal with his emotions that led to his downfall on Mustafar. Its his core character flaw

Anakin did bring balance to the force, he spent 23 years on the Light Side and 23 years on the Dark Side. The Jedi was the prominent force at the time and the Sith was in hiding. The balance was just not what the Jedi expected.

Also, Michelle talked about how if only that other guy (Qui-gon lol) was still alive none of this would have happened She was spot on with that comment. In an interview that someone that used to work with George Lucas, he stated that the reason the song during the final battle of episode 1 is called "Duel of the Fates" is because its really a duel of the fate of Anakin. A fate where either Qui-Gon lives and can give Anakin the training and father figure he needs or the fate that actually happens in the movies. He talks about how Qui-Gon is much different than the other jedi and was really the only one who could have handled Anakin's training properly, and while Obi-Wan tried his best, he was really more of a brother figure to Anakin where as Qui-Gon was the father figure Anakin really needed

Some things to note: Anakin was a master in Form V which is known for its aggressiveness. Obi-Wan mastered form III which is essentially the opposite of Form V as its known for its defensiveness. You see them spinning their lightsabers because they're about equally matched but one is trying to swing for an attack and the other is per-emptively blocking forcing the other to do something else until it just goes in a stalemate. Also, Anakin didn't fully give in to the dark side against Obi-Wan. This is made apparent only when his limbs are chopped off. His eyes only turn when he says he "hates you". This is where he fully gave in to the dark side. Lastly, watch the animated series! It'll make you realize the Jedi's weren't perfect and why Anakin was more inclined to join Sidious. Movie 3 does a poor job explaining the downfall of the Jedis to be honest but the animated series makes up for it

so order you guys want to do are: the clone wars series, the bad batch, star wars rebels, Andor (best live action show), rouge one,Kenobi, mandolarian, ashoka, and after that you could watch the recent trilogy movie with Rey and Finn, those movies are split within the fanbase love or hate it, but a new trilogy is in production with Rey as the lead again so it would be best to be caught up by then. Also shows like mandolarian and ashoka will hit 10x times better after you watch clone wars and rebels.

LETS GOOOOO Such a tragedy. All Anakin needed was to be back in the front of the war with Obiwan. Crazy how Palpatine planned all of it, separating anakin from his mentor, putting him in the middle of politics which he hated, and preying on his strongest trait - loyalty to those he loves. In my opinion, a masterpiece of a movie. Please watch Rogue One next (or even the Clone War series!) and ignore 7/8/9! I'd love for yall to react to Lord of the Rings next too!!!!

btw Ron Luke is not the chosen one and never was. It was always anakin even when he was Vader. Remember how Yoda said prophecies can be misread. Anakin brought balance to the force by killing the jedi, but then he also brought balance when he took out palpatine and himself therefore destroying the sith. So he accomplished what the prophecy says. The prophecy also said it would be a child born from the force, just as anakin was. Luke had a father and was not the one to bring balance. This is from george lucas' own words btw not some theory, Just wanted to make that clear! great reaction.

I would kinda recommend to just watch the rouge one movie cuse it’s still part of this era and it’s actually very good, then watch clone wars. The other trilogy is eye candy but I wouldn’t say that you need to watch them tbh. Force awakens is decent but idk what happend after that 💀

Man....the parallel and when anakin realized the Jedi were not the absolute justice he thought it was. During count dooku, palpatine said "He's too dangerous to be left alive" During mace windu, he says "He's too dangerous to be left alive" No difference. Twisting the rules for their own plans. Idk, let's recap what the jedi did: - Take young children from their families and essentially brainwash them - Isolate Anakin despite him trying to be the best Jedi. Continuously telling him to let go of people he loved. - Trying to take actions into their own hands instead of abiding by republic rules. In the books it's explained more, but the Jedi lost their way while the Sith adapted.

nerd sesh... to explain how obi won beat anakin, obis fighting style is a great counter to anakins(not gonna get to into detail). Also anakin was extremely new to harnessing the dark side which nerfed him a bit. if this fight took place in a few years anakin would wipe the floor with him. Also ron you are correct palpatine implanted the nightmares into anakin using the force. it is also widley accepted that palpatine influenced the midoclorians to get Smi skywalker pregnant, making palpatine his "dad". boys correct me if im wrong down below!

I wouldn't say it was all on him. The jedi council constantly isolated him, told him to let go of all that he loves, made him turn against a trusted friend. Anakin has always been loyal to those he loves. Having him in the front lines with Obiwan would have been great which is why Palpatine constantly wanted him to be caught in the mix of politics and whatnot while sending Obiwan away strategically.

The Palpatine nightmare thing is more of a fan theory from what I've seen. I think dont think its actually been confirmed anywhere As for the Palpatine dad one, thats also a fan theory but I dont think its the most popular one. I think the one that seems more popular and may even be confirmed (Not 100% sure, its been a while) is that basically Darth Plagueis was fucking around with the dark side of the force trying to create life but it backfired and the force itself created Anakin in response to what Plagueis was doing to counter him

My good folks, Clone Wars is like 6 seasons. Next 1st of June I would love to see a Star Wars movie. Hence why I said Rogue One. They don't need to see Clone Wars or Bad Batch to understand Rogue One. They can watch that after they get through FMAB and reach far in JoJo.

She said there is still good in him, Padme was referring to Anakin. i am surprised you both weren't amazed by the fight scene with Anakin and Obi-Wan, barely was losing your mind, that fight scene was crazy for Star Wars fans had us going crazy it was so good and a powerful fight scene. also the scene of Darth Vader's mask being put on and the iconic breathing that scene gave me goosebumps when i was a kid such a great scene. this was easily the best of the prequels my absolute fav. the Disney Star Wars ruins alot they are not very loved by lots of fans they have alot of issues, mainly Episode 8 The Last Jedi and Episode 9 The Rise of Skywalker are the worst, Episode 7 The Force Awakens and Rogue One are the only 2 Disney Star Wars that is actually decent

The dark side is more than just a way of life, it really does consume you and drive your actions. Hence his eyes turning yellow, practically a possession. Also good to remember that Anakin grew up a slave for the first 9 years of his life, he's about 22 or 23 at this point in his life so still close to half of his life he was a slave and had seen and been victim to plenty of horrible shit, him turning to the dark side especially to save the one thing he truly cares about isn't to far fetched, the only other thing he loved like that was his mom who died after he starting having dreams of her suffering, and was told by Obi wan and Yoda to basically just ignore the dreams. The Jedi shot themselves in the foot to many times when it came to him.

In the end it was Anakin not Luke who fulfilled the prophecy and was the Chosen one. Luke definitely helped tho by changing Darth Vader in the end. Darth threw Palpatine in the reactor in episode 6. There's too many good stuff to watch. I would recommend you guys do a twitch stream and have people or your mods send you trailers/links for the movies/series people want you to watch then you can choose from there. Just gonna list the ones i recommend way too much to explain 💀 Movies: Rogue One and Solo. Episodes 7-9 even though you watched them you can rewatch and see how mid they are compared to 1-6. Like I honestly enjoyed 7 especially with everyone theorizing on what was going on, just the way they handled episodes 8-9 was comical. Series: The Mandalorian, The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch, Obi Wan Kenobi, Star Wars Rebels, Andor, Ahsoka and Book of Boba Fett. The Clone wars, Bad Batch and Rebels are all more episodes but them being 24-25 minutes. While the rest are shorter total episodes but longer run times being between 40 mins to an hour depending.

I think it’s important to remember when you have a strong connection with the force (using it for powers) the dark side consumes you when you give in to it. Like alcohol or drugs, it’s hard to break away from. So the turn isn’t purely I want to be bad, it’s like I gave into it and now it’s taken me over with all negative emotions. So it does seem like Anakin just turns quickly but that’s the power of the dark side

If you all remember back to episode 5, it was the emperor who made Vader aware that the child of Skywalker lives which initially shocked Vader. The emperor implies that they should kill the son of Skywalker, but it was Vader’s idea to try and turn him. He may not have realized it himself, but he clearly still wanted to protect his son. His love for Luke proves that Padme was right all along and that there was still some good in him after all. The only good that remained inside Vader was his ability to love which the Sith do not do. It was the whole reason Anakin turned to begin with. At its core, the OG Starwars story from 1 to 6 is about love in all its forms.

Honestly wouldnt need to watch the whole show but there are some specific episodic arcs(usually 4 episodes together at a time) that would be really good to watch. Please watch Rogue One, it’s the next chronological film. My personal favorite Star Wars movie. Also if you’re not going to watch Obi-Wan then watch the last fight scene, it’s a beautiful conclusion and clarifies some nuances from the original trilogy.

Vader in my personal opinion. I can’t say why he was given their name from the start besides possibly Palpatine‘s vision for the future. I think he’s called Vader because he is an invader once he is fully a Sith. Darth Vader would go to planets to find one Jedi and would massacre every single person on that planet. If a planet was small enough he probably could’ve just crushed it with the force. I don’t think you guys realize how powerful Anakin would have been as he was not cyborg prime Anakin could’ve destroyed solar system if he had his body. Nothing was more disappointing to Palpatine learning Anakin lost, and because of his loss he became significantly weaker. Palpatine truly wanted an apprentice who could kill him at any moment most as you said it’s the rule of two. The apprentice kills the master. Movie wise I’d say watch rogue one next. After that I would tackle the sequel trilogy. Some fans don’t like them and admittedly the final one is a weak installment, but they are fun. For tv shows clone wars, mando, ahsoka, rebels, and andor are all great. Depending on how you’d want to do the schedule I’d probably star with the animated shows since you get to meet a lot of people from the live action shows before those shows take place. The episodes of the animated show are also quite short so you can bundle them together and get through them quick

Obi-Wan always knew about Anakin and Padme. He chose not to say anything because he saw that his best friend was happy. That and he truly believed in Anakin and trusted him completely which made his betrayal even more shocking for him. What’s even more heartbreaking is that Anakin took Obi-Wan’s friendship and trust for granted. Anakin trusted Palpatine more than he trusted the man who essentially raised him and taught him everything that he’s known since leaving his slave life behind. Such a tragic story

Thing is idk if they will revisit and remake Lucas' 4,5 and 6 since Disney technically gave up on Legacy stuff and want to move onto new era of star wars basically. There may be a chance they remake it, like I know theres like 3 different versions of 4,5,6. The ones you saw were the newest "remake" recasting the force ghost you see at the end of 6 for Hayden the current Anakin.

For obi wan having the high ground on anakin was an automatic victory, he knew exactly what anakin was going to do and how to stop it. Fun fact he also used a forbidden move called Mou kei to slice through multiple of Anakins limbs at once. If you slow down the moment Anakin gets defeated you can actually see Obi-Wan hits him once then comes back around for another hit very quick. This move was banned by the Jedi for its brutality.

Andor and Rogue One fills in the blanks of what was going on between Revenge of the Sith and the original Star Wars. Except its not focused on the main players that we know. Its about the rise of the Rebellion and their struggles against the Empire. Its the story of the nobodies fighting for a better tomorrow. The best parts of the show is that it focuses on the politics behind the scenes scheming and builds some decent worldbuilding with planets throughout the Galaxy. Really building a sense of the cultures of different people in contrast to the cold fascist structured nature of the Empire and the more intimate negative effects the Empire's reach for control and power does to the people. Andor feels the least like Star Wars due to the lack of the typical fantasy elements of Star Wars like The Force, Lightsabers and the Jedi. But to me it makes sense cos if you remember in the original movies The Force was practically considered a myth and the Jedi had been gone for almost 20 years.

Well Obiwan cut off his legs and arm and then watched him set on fire. I’m sure he thought yeah dudes dead lol. He made it clear before the fight even started he didn’t have it in him to detach his feeling for Anakin and kill him outright. Agree that Yoda’s feeling of the force is highly annoying and also couldn’t the Jedi be more organized with they are going to fight and how they ended up telling.

If you guys are wanting to expand more into star wars I think you guys would rlly love the clone wars animated series. It brings a lot of lore and explores what happens between movie 2 and 3 and explores more of the characters. The sequels a lot of people would say not to watch but I think it's ok to watch them even if they don't end up being your favorites. Besides that you got rogue one and solo that explores time lines between movies 3 and 4. Going more into the shows I would recommend probably watching them in release order because a lot of them criss cross with other shows so it's good to try and follow that for the best experience

*Spoilers in this* I know Revenge of the Sith is one of the best in the franchise but yikes, so many inconsistencies. If Ron and Michelle ever watch clone wars, Darth Maul came back to life and that is set before ROTS. Dark force users seem to have loopholes to surviving but not light force users.
