It's not a massively popular choice for favourite, after all there's so many amazing characters in this show, but Renji is still one of my favourites if not my favourite character in Bleach. Something about him just resonates with me so hard. I love the guy.

I feel like you're assuming that SS is the worse option. Its not. The worse option is be stuck being hollow, killing people. IMO, its better to join a corrupt world than to be a mindless monster waiting to purified. That is kinda why Rukia/ SR even if there bad ones tries to direct them to SS.

51:45 the only souls that feel hungry are ones with spiritual power if a soul a normal soul has no spiritual power they don't feel hungry but if their own body has some lvl of Spiritual power they will feel hungry and the more SP (Spiritual power) they have the hunger they will get. So when Rukia fell because of hunger she didn't know why she was hungry that's why the guy said that you have potential and he didn't understand him self why he was hungry the 1st time either when he came to Soul Society.

The last couple lines from this episode is Renji's manga volume poem - Volume 11: A Star and A Stray Dog "Light a fire to the fang that cannot be reached So that I do not have to see that star So that I do not slit this throat." My interpretation of this is Renji, through this poem, conveying to Ichigo to beat (Light a fire to) Byakuya (the fang that cannot be reached) since Byakuya outclasses Renji, both in nobility and in power. His very close friendship with Rukia is broken so much, that he shelters himself from seeing Rukia eye to eye (..I do not have to see that star). Rukia is the star. He passes his desire to save Rukia from execution to Ichigo, albeit avoiding any sort of confrontation with her, otherwise he currently risks going against his current ideals... possibly a hint that he's not got the "resolve" to put his life on the line to save Rukia whilst also confronting her (...so that I do not slit this throat).

Spirits can reproduce with each other, but no one’s ever died on Earth and came into soul society as a noble. The author/mangaka of bleach is Tite(pronounced tight) Kubo, but you can just call him Kubo. He has so many profound lines and he is a great writer. Everything he does is purposeful and he’s incredibly creative. He also does poems at the end of chapters or volumes of the manga. The last few lines of episode 32 is one of those poems. One of, if not my favorite, mangaka. Also Shiro Sagisu is the composer who did all of the music and he is a genius. So many of the songs made for bleach are good even just listening to them by themselves.

Id say Renji meant he wouldn't of been ok with Rukia going to the kuchiki family if he knew she would end up in her current situation. So much more I want to comment but you guys are doing a good job speculating and discussing (even if you aren't right, like Ron said it's still very fun) just know it's fun for me as a viewer as well to hear those thoughts - right or wrong.

Before watching the other Episodes let me just say it like this without Spoilers: The difference between captains and lieutenant is just a whole different story You will later on see how powerful captains are They are just way more stronger than all of the lieutenants together And I can confirm it 100% you guys will love bleach and it will bin your top 3 anime of all time ( at least )

Also something you might need to think about is that ichigo is not perse stronger than the people he beat. It rather means that the soulreapers underestimate him. Somewhat like if we as an adult would have to fight a 16 year old. Even if we'd be stronger and faster and have all the odds of winning. You play with them, and out of nowhere they throw a punch and rock you :p

Tite Kubo (Tee-teh Ku-bow) is the creator of Bleach. His storytelling style is poetic, especially in Bleach. He's one of the top manga creators, alongside Oda and Kishimoto. Renji is a loyal friend. He left his Lieutenant badge behind, which means he's stepping down. This could mean a lot of things, but mainly, he doesn’t want his actions to affect his squad or captain as he might be about to do something that goes against the Soul Society. Also, it was Ichigo, not Rukia, who told the souls they wouldn't be hungry. He just assumed that, but it wasn’t something Rukia actually said.

The episode we all started to love Renji 😄❤️ The reason for Rukia getting adopted by the noble Kuchiki clan gets revealed later 🙂 The only thing I'll say is that it wasn't for her to be a sacrifice 🤗 If you have no spiritual pressure, you don't get hungry. If you feel hunger, you have spiritual pressure (and could become a soul reaper 👻🗡)

Everyone in soul society, they are SOULS!!! But all these souls take human form, I assume it's for us to bond with them, cause it would be weird if they're just like I don't know little flames or whatever... some are "born" there, some are souls born in human world... I understand, some souls in the soul society are different, cause they have more or special spiritual energy, and that's why just some of them GET HUNGRY!!! , and they can become soul reapers, I think it could be the same with human souls, if they arrive to the soul society and they are "that" kind of soul, the can become soul reapers as well...!? I don't know, I understand it like that... it's what makes more sense to me... 😁

Michelle was right, Rukia did say Soul Society was like a heaven. Rukia knew what the Soul Society was like, but she said that to give him hope. You would not want to provide them with the truth, as the objective of the Soul Society is to let them pass through.
