Bleach uses spirit energy/reiatsu as the fuel source of their attacks while Naruto uses chakra. But one thing Bleach has is the concept of spiritual pressure and that alone already puts the Naruto world's power system at a high disadvantage because they don't have something like that of their own.

Gin will lift your hopes up by just that tiny bit...just to absolutely CRUSH them again! I love the guy so damn much!!! lol Gin is why I sometimes rank Bleach even above Naruto as my second favorite anime. Objectively, more people will agree Naruto is second only to One Piece, but for me Bleach, esp with TYBW just outranks Naruto. Its such a fucking good show! Very unique

Characters in Bleach get stronger in a very short amount of time…it’s very similar to Dragon Ball in that sense One Piece & Naruto have more of a realistic approach when it comes to growth in strength by having them go through multiple battles or months/years of training to get to the highest level This is why I like how the Big 3 are so different. Such epic shows

Tosen doesn’t need to use his bankai on itachi because these are soul reapers they are already souls. humans can’t see them anyway. Itachi loses to all captains at this point already not to mention power levels will only increase from this point onwards

👩‍🏫 Just in case: Kido is the spiritual spell-casting art used by Soul Reapers. It's divided into 2 types: • Hado (for offense) • Bakudo (for defense like binding, shielding) Each Kido spell has a number (from 1 to 99). The higher the number, the more powerful and difficult it is to cast. Note: Kido is dependent on the caster’s strength & skill. So, a Hado No. 33 from Byakuya would smoke a Hado No. 40 from a weaker opponent 🤓

I genuinely think you should consider taking notes and going through them for shows like Bleach, One Piece etc. You’re watching all these shows and interacting with supporters / viewers, it’ll be impossible for you to keep up with everything. You’ll start to forget little details and in the long run it impacts your experience and prediction when you forget key details that you should already know from previous eps. The fact you have such a demanding schedule and process you’ll find it much harder to retain information from previous episodes , understandably. This is just an observation and suggestion as I do very much enjoy your content ☺️

4:20 you can recognise people from spiritual pressure but based on hindsight since things have been so stagnant in the Soul Society Renji may not have sensed so much spiritual pressure coming from Byakuya in the first place. After all, Byakuya does not have any reason to keep it at its highest level all the time. Spiritual pressure is not constant, it's controllable like to hide yourself, threaten others and so on. Sadly, Renji vs Byakuya in the anime did not do the manga justice. In the manga, this fight even rivals Ichigo vs Byakuya. The presentation was that good. I'll explain why that's the case. In the manga, Byakuya was presented to be caged by his own powers. That means there was some conflict of interest which is proved to be true later in this arc. Byakuya tries to put Renji under that same cage but Renji breaks through it which made Byakuya show recognition to Renji. Tosen's Bankai is so good that it fits his character perfectly. Putting his opponents in a state similar (not the same but similar) to what he goes through. Based on texts and sub-texts, we know Shikai is the essence of one's soul. So Yumichika hiding his true self indicates how he is not willing to come out of the closet and accept what he is. I love zanpakutos as a power system and what it depicts to the person as well.

Recognizing Spiritual Pressure as an ability within the power system of Bleach is highly inconsistent, and more of a plot device than anything else. Characters can sense it when the writer needs them to sense it, nothing more. Half of Soul Society felt Ichigo and Kenpachi fighting (including a powerless, restricted Rukia behind SP-blocking material), but nobody can feel Ichigo training with all his might at higher-than-captain-level with Yoruichi... except Renji, who uses that to find his way there... but then he can't sense his captain or recognize him despite being Byakuya being so close by. At least the entire city should have felt Ishida's battle with Mayuri, but Ishida got a fair distance (sunrise happened) before running into a stationary captain waiting for him on the path to Rukia, as if nobody knew that battle was happening. Don't listen to people stanning and making excuses lol. We can simultaneously like something and still call out problems/flaws when deserved.

There are more powerful bankai's, but my 2 favorite bankais are in these 2 episodes. First, Byakuya's bankai, senbonzakura kageyoshi, which is billions, possibly trillions, of miniscule blades tearing you apart. Then, Tosen's bankai, suzumushi tsuishiki: Enma Kurogi, which creates an area where those not touching Tosen's zanpakutou are left without their senses, with the only sense that remains is the sense of touch.
