You dont need to know every zanpakto release name or character full name. Names are important in the bleach world to the characters but us the viewer dont NEED to know them. I just remember the most used name for each character. And I eventually remembered their zanpakto names. Bleach has a lot of terms + names + characters. Take your time remembering what you can.

You guys can google the moves and bankai's translation. They are actually pretty sick. For example, Getsuga tenshso means Moon Fang Heaven-Piercer.

Names, and the power that comes with those names, and the those who might be able to hold the power of names, are EXTREMELY important and poetic to bleach. It very much matters. Not that you need to remember them, but they matter to the story.

Wow rewatching this after seeing the JJK fight between Maki and Mai really shows the similarity between the shows. It’s cool you can definitely see some inspired similarities like soi fong vs yoruichi and maki vs mai. As well as the similarities between the domain expansions and bankai.

Fun fact about pokemon, those name that u said are English name... Japanese name are totally different. For example Charizard in Japanese is called Lizardon.

The anime once again omitted content from the manga. Soi Fon had five brothers, and all of them died during different missions and thus, she's the only surviving member of her generation of family. The information part of her backstory was more fleshed out in the manga. The first instance where we learn that names actually have power in them. Which explains why nameless zanpakuto are weaker than one with names. Also explains why Kido for example have names.

Yeah, there's a lot of names to remember in Bleach. You get the hang of them the more you watch it. Soi Fon is my least favorite captain (captain of squad 2 and commander of the stealth force), but her saying "Why didn't you take me with you?" is heartbreaking 😢
