DUDE THESE EPISODES REMINDED ME OF when he carried Nami and Sanji in the drum island arc, Luffy was so injured to the point of frostbite, and his hands and feet were messed up, yet when he reached the top, he asked for Sanji and Nami to be patched up first. I don’t understand how Luffy isn’t anyone’s favourite, I know it’s cliche to have the main character be nr. 1 but dude, Luffy’s the goat, totally my favourite, after him is Zoro, Nami and Sanji.

Michelle is absolutely right. Fr remember these Episodes dropped 2010. Oda implimented the ''queer-community'' perfectly into his story. They are as eccentric as everyone else and play a big role in the story. In addition to that Oda made them like the 'best gender' in One Piece. They are always happy living in luxury, helping others, partying and being jusz awesome goofy characters :'D. I love the way Oda made them work perfectly for the story while also giving no one with homophobia a chance. In 2010 homophobia was MUCH more common than it is nowdays. Big W Oda <3.

just wanted to let you guys know that the last ten episodes of one piece have been rated 9.0 or higher on imdb, even with really good shows you get maybe 5 or 6 episodes in a row with 9.0 ratings and above. Attack on Titan's longest chain of episodes with over 9.0 ratings was 5, so having double that many high quality episodes of one piece in a row is insane

Ok. As a long time fan of One Piece...let me explain because I know what this comment section is gonna look like. Oda likes to draw inspiration from various sources to add to his story. Which is why Eneru looks like Eminem and Jango moonwalks like Michael Jackson. These episodes were released way back - like 2010-11 or somewhere around that time- but I do know that the whole queer/trans community was not really a thing in society as it is today. They were just a small community that no one really talked about and they didn't really try to involve themselves in everyday people's lives or shove their agenda down our throats or try to convert kids like we see happening in places like California. They were just a minority community that Id say most people were okay with for the most part. Im sure u all know at least one gay or queer thats just chill. It was like that...at least from my limited perspective. So Oda thought it fun to incorporate them in One Piece to give it variety in characters and as ul see, not a single character in the show is gonna try to spin any agenda on any other character. They are all plot focused, and Ivancov is gonna really grow on you guys as a character! I dont care for Queers generally, but I do love Ivancov in One Piece. One of the funniest characters in the show lol

remember there are lots of kinda of hormones, not just sex-adjacent ones. Hormones control your growth, metabolism, moods, general organ function like the pancreas, adrenal glands (adrenaline), and the pituitary gland. As well as yes, sexual urges too, but thats just 1 thing hormones do in the body. So the hormone hormone fruit can potentially do some wild stuff!

Some of the comments here are a bit weird lol but I love the implementation of all these characters. I also love that these chapters released before LGBTQ stuff became such a popular topic in politics. Gotta shout out my goat Oda for that. Freedom for all or freedom for no one. Saying the queer/trans community "wasn't really a thing" or didn't "push an agenda" back then overlooks the real struggles they faced just to exist openly. Visibility isn't an agenda - it's survival. Also, saying "I don't care for queers" but liking Ivankov sounds a lot like tolerating someone only when they fit a stereotype or make you laugh. Queer people aren't just comic relief - they deserve the same respect as anyone else. One Piece celebrates freedom and individuality. That includes queer identities, not just as jokes, but as valid, strong characters. Just as queer people in the reallife. Don't get yourself hooked by your facist right wing in the US. Just bc there are idiots in a community doesnt mean the community can be associated with smth like "pushing children in certain agenda". Things like that actually happen. I saw children in documentation that were made up to be trans by their parents at the age of 4. It just hasn't anything to do with queers becoming more accepted and having same rights. It only has to do with poor education and bad raising and it mightve been a phenomenon 500years ago too. There are always idiots but never use them to take someones or even your own freedom.

The huge thing for me is. When this came out 2010ish the world still didn’t accept queerness or gay society. Even until today it’s still unaccepted in half of the world we living in. That is the mindset that will do the opposite and make them hate and despise you. I am not a queer. Agendas do exist. For example, i am never going do defend doing science experiments on children with their gender. Or teaching them about queer and all that stuff. Children have nothing to do with sex or sexuality! I remember the first time seeing this episode i was binge watching it and fell asleep, then woke up in the middle of the night because I kept hearing Gay lol I'm like who gay in one piece lol I was so shocked because it was my first time seeing lgbt+ characters in anime.
