Episode 2 of Naruto, Naruto has his photo taken for his ninja profile and he is wearing all the face paint lol there’s been photos since the beginning. He also has photos of squad 7 in his room. During the Obito flashbacks he had photos of his squad too

Honestly, the recent episodes have been really boring for me. I'm thankful for Ron's high energy—he keeps trying to liven things up and makes very predictable predictions, which at least adds some entertainment value for me. This is my first time watching Boruto, but after these 40 episodes, I'm thinking about dropping it.

This is anime canon fam. If you aren't enjoying it then I would just come back for manga canon once it starts. These arcs are basically essential (as hit or miss as they can be) since none of this development appears in the manga where stuff just happens (not spoilers btw.)

Katasuke (weird scientist guy) is a canon character, this is his first appearance. Those little flashbacks of him I guess happened off screen but you'll learn more about him. Also Udon, the sensei who was next to Metal in the hospital, that's Konohamaru's friend. Remember the snot nosed kid lmao that's him. Happy birthday Sasuke 🎂

It'll get really good from episodes 51 and after with the next major arc. Keep watching if you can and give it a chance we almost at that point. Eventually we'll get manga canon which is way later but yeah it gradually gets better

This is one of the weaker anime canon arcs, but if you pay attention it drops crumbs of information that you can pick up in the next arc. Next anime canon arc after the manga canon is long asf but it's overall a good story and each other anime canon arc going into the next manga canon arc is pretty solid and a good length.

anime cannon is still filler, I don't know how y'all fail to see this... Like i said long ago, Boruto series released too early and the studio made the shit decision to make the series mostly fillers and put "anime cannon" to bamboozle people. If done right this series would be great, when it returns with the new manga material it will be even better IF! they don't plaster 100+ fillers in between the material.
