I'd skip the anime cannon eps if you guys want to get to marineford. You really dont need to see them imo but wouldn't hurt to watch them if you are really interested in the crew's whereabouts. Great reaction cant wait for tmr!

To speak on what you were saying at the end, how you just wanna see the war and how the comments would probably say these parts are important... These episodes are technically filler. They're worth watching, I just think they should have come later instead of between Impel Down and the next canon events I'm surprised your mods didn't tell you that these episodes are filler, or "anime canon" AKA not in the manga

For the people telling you to skip these episodes, ignore them. These episodes are cannon. It adds to the world building and shows how the crew gets stronger. Also I would suggest that you have a triple drop for tomorrow's release as the next three episodes are all linked together and conclude on a good note. Can't wait for next week's episodes, its gonna be so peak!!!

I agree with the triple drop for them. But r they really cannon? They say anime cannon and I didn't read the manga so i'm just curious. I watched them for my first watch through and thought I could've went without them but it was a fun watch to see the crew for a little before shit went down.

Hang in there you guys. I know the timing sucks but as you said there's a purpose for these crew updates, even if they're not all that exciting. In the manga each of these updates were only a single picture on one page with a caption describing the scene. The anime team took some creative liberties to adapt them into anime original short stories. Anyway, we check up on two Strawhats per episode and you've already got Nami and Franky out of the way. Tomorrow's upload will be 4 more and then Friday will be the final two. After that it's smooth sailing straight into the big war we've been waiting for. EDIT: Corrected some miscalculations.

They were in the cover stories so I would consider them manga cannon. I liked them because it made the world seem more alive. Plus, they do tie in later on so I do think its important to watch them

Yes they are cannon. Those are chapters covers in the manga, so they are just a few panels. The weatheria part we just watched was like two or three chapter cover illustrations

Plz make sure you guys stay in this rhythm of episodes with an even number first and finish with an uneven numbered episode last There are some episodes in this war that's incredible when watched together so the rhythm you are currently on works well I won't tell the exact episodes but even first and uneven second is best for this next part

According to the anime filler list, 452 is manga canon, but 453 is anime canon so not under the filler category. As a manga reader i didnt know either lol

Blackbeard wasn't at Impel Down for Shiryu, they just happened to be likeminded scoundrels and decided to team up. When they first met in the prison BB asked Shiryu if he was Magellan, so it seems like he didn't know about him at all.
